Every time an NBA, NFL, MLB or NHL team wins the league championship, Triple H generously awards the winning club a WWE title belt.

On Thursday, the Toronto Raptors defeated the Golden State Warriors 114-10 to clinch their first NBA Championship in franchise history. It also marked the first time where a team outside the United States won the title.

The Larry O'Brien Trophy isn't the only thing going to Toronto, however. On Friday, Triple H congratulated the Raptors for their victory and revealed the WWE Championship Belt that will be presented at SummerSlam, which is set to take place in Toronto on Aug. 11.

This comes a day after the St. Louis Blues defeated the Boston Bruins to win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history. After the victory, Triple H shared the WWE Championship belt that the Cup winners will receive for their accomplishments.

Led by All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry and NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard, the Raptors prevented the Warriors from pulling off a three-peat. Had they won, Golden State would have been the first team since the 2002 Los Angeles Lakers to accomplish the feat.

Golden State's championship hopes took a massive blow when All-Star Kevin Durant -- who won the last two NBA Finals MVP awards -- suffered a ruptured Achilles in Game 5. In the third quarter of Game 6, fellow All-Star Klay Thompson suffered a knee injury and had to leave the game. It was later revealed that he suffered an ACL tear.

Warriors were able to keep the entire series close despite injuries to two of their top three stars, however. But at the end of the day, Leonard, Lowry and Toronto's role players were too much for Golden State to overcome. The Warriors received three WWE Championship belts over a four-year span from Triple H and co. (2015, 2017 and 2018). This time, however, the WWE Championship is headed north of the border.

What This Means

It's the first time where Triple H will be sending a WWE Championship belt to a professional sports team outside of the U.S. No Canadian team has won a Stanley Cup since 1993, and the Toronto Blue Jays lost won the World Series that same year. But after a 26-year drought, a Canadian sports team has won it all, and Raptor fans can only hope there will be more WWE Championship belts coming in the future.
