WWE stars are forced to work together on a daily basis and sometimes they are forced to work with people that they hate.

Many male and female Superstars don't actually like each other backstage and are then forced to be part of storylines together, which doesn't always go down very well.

Problems occur backstage all the time and these then lead to fights and even manage to make the news when they end up being something that the company can not control. This isn't always the case though. Much of the time both male and female stars who are forced to work together actually become friends throughout the process.

WWE stars are working together to put on a good show and when two people spend a lot of time working together, they usually make lasting friendships.

There is a mix of people who like and dislike each other currently in WWE. Many of these stars are very well at keeping their hatred of each other secret, while others manage to allow their problems to boil over onto social media.

The following is a list of 10 stars who are friends backstage and 10 who are enemies on Raw, SmackDown and NXT.

20 20. Friends: Naomi And Tamina Snuka

via pl.wwe.com

Naomi and Tamina Snuka may be on opposite sides when it comes to the SmackDown Women's Division and the fact that Tamina is looking for her opportunity to go after the current Women's Champion. But in real life Naomi and Tamina are actually quite close, considering they are in fact family members.

Naomi has been a regular star on Total Divas over the past few seasons and is married to Tamina's cousin and SmackDown Tag Team Champion, Jimmy Uso. The two women were also put together as part of Team BAD along with Sasha Banks back in 2015 when the Women's Revolution was in its opening stages.  They have also been seen together on family outings with Jimmy and Tamina's children on episodes of Total Divas in the past as well.

19 19. Enemies: Samoa Joe And Tyson Kidd

via allwrestlingnews.com

Samoa Joe is currently the #1 Contender for the Universal Championship and steps in the ring with Brock Lesnar at WWE Great Balls of Fire. Joe has climbed up through WWE over the past few years, but because of a Muscle Buster at the hands of Joe in a dark match on Raw back in 2015, Kidd's wrestling career has come to an end.

The graduate of the Hart Family Dungeon hasn't wrestled since 2015 after being forced to undergo spinal surgery that could have ended his career. Kidd is yet to officially retire and be released from WWE, but it would definitely be hard for him to forgive Samoa Joe for essentially being the reason that he has had to step away from the only thing he knows how to do in life.

18 18. Friends: Triple H And Sheamus

via mus.ge

Triple H is the COO of WWE, but even he has to have a number of friends backstage in the company  so that he can continue to do his job to the best of his ability. It seems that Sheamus' World Heavyweight Championship win at Survivor Series back in 2015 (where he then went on to join The Authority for a minute) was actually Triple H's idea.

Triple H and Sheamus have been training buddies for a while now and often spend time in the gym together when there is time in both men's schedules. Which just goes to show, if you're close to one of the bosses then there is a good chance that you will be given a Money in the Bank contract and quite a brief World Heavyweight Championship run.

17 17. Enemies: Chris Jericho And Brock Lesnar

via wwe.com

Brock Lesnar is known as The Beast Incarnate for a reason. His UFC background often comes into play in WWE. Back at SummerSlam in 2016 when Brock not only defeated Randy Orton but left him in a bloody mess in the middle of the mat, Chris Jericho had a problem.

Jericho took the fight to Brock as soon as he stepped back through the curtain as he defended his friend and actually thought that Brock had gone off script and attacked a helpless Orton after the match. Their encounter almost became physical until many of the backstage personnel assured Jericho that Brock stuck to the script and didn't intentionally harm Orton. The Viper knew what he was signing up for. It seems there is still some hatred between the two men though.

16 16. Friends: Ruby Riot And Ember Moon

Ruby Riot and Ember Moon are another pair of stars who are on the opposite sides of the Women's Division but down in NXT. Riot has recently had a run as part of the NXT Women's Championship picture while Ember Moon has been out injured. The duo should have both been part of aFatal Four-Way match at NXT TakeOver: Chicago but Ember's injury forced it to become a Triple Threat match instead.

Ruby hasn't been in NXT for very long but has faced off against Ember at NXT Live Events in the past. It will be interesting to see the kind of match these women would be able to put on if they were given the chance on NXT TV. Hopefully, Ember will be cleared to return soon and the NXT Universe will find out.

15 15. Enemies: Randy Orton And Kofi Kingston

via cagesideseats.com

The Viper and the current member of The New Day may be back on the same roster together, but it is unlikely that these two stars will be facing each other again anytime soon.

Back when Kofi Kingston was a singles star in WWE and Orton was part of Legacy, the two met in a one-on-one match. It was supposed to end with the punt kick to Kofi, but Kingston forgot the ending and kept getting up when Orton pushed him down, causing The Viper to hit the RKO instead. Orton was visibly annoyed about the change of ending and shouted about how stupid Kofi was after the match. The shocking part is that if Orton didn't break character after the match, it wouldn't have even looked like a botched ending.

14 14. Friends: Finn Balor And Karl Anderson

via twitter.com

After meeting during their time together in NJPW, it was reported that Karl Anderson took one look at Finn Balor and decided that he didn't like him. A few months later both men were invited out by friend and instantly hit it off. They became friends instantly and now they are both on the Raw brand together.

Karl and Finn often hang out together outside of wrestling and Karl visited Finn all the time when he was recovering from his shoulder injury. As shown on his WWE 24 documentary Karl and Finn actually answer the phone by calling each other "babe" which shows just how close these two men are. They recently had their first one-on-one match in WWE when Finn defeated Anderson on Monday Night Raw, in a match that it seemed both men enjoyed.

13 13. Enemies: Dean Ambrose And Brock Lesnar

via wwe.com

The Lunatic Fringe and The Beast met at WrestleMania 32 in what was set to be one of the craziest matches that ever been seen on the main stage of WWE, but it didn't turn out that way. Dean Ambrose appeared on the Stone Cold podcast and explained all about his opponent and the reason the match failed to live up to the hype.

Ambrose stated that he wanted to unleash his craziness in the match and for it to be something worthy of WrestleMania, but everything he pitched towards Brock was laziness. He pitched a lot of ideas that were turned down as Brock only wanted to focus on himself and his own vision for the match, something that obviously annoyed Dean. Maybe there's a reason Ambrose hasn't been put back into the Universal Championship picture on Raw?

12 12. Friends: Chris Jericho And The Miz

via allwrestlingsuperstars.com

Despite the huge age gap between these two stars and the fact that they were brought into WWE during different generations, the duo have found a way to bond over the mutual admiration they have for each other. Jericho once stated that he admired The Miz's professionalism and veteran approach to some of his matches, which makes sense given that he has been in WWE now for more than a decade.

The duo have met in the middle of the ring many times and have never had a bad match, and despite the fact that Jericho takes a lot of time away from WWE when he tours with Fozzy, he always finds some free time to spend with The Miz. The duo have been spotted many times travelling together and hanging out whilst they are on the road.

11 11. Enemies: Roman Reigns And Randy Orton

via wwe.fr

Two of WWE's main event level stars have collided many times during their time together in WWE. And despite both men still being at the top level of the company, there is no love lost between Roman Reigns and The Viper.

It is reported that when Roman was still part of The Shield, he was in a shouting match backstage with Orton after there was a spot that was blown in a Six-Man tag match and Orton held a grudge. So much so that when Orton and Reigns collided many times last year at Live Events there was speculation that Orton was purposely making Reigns look bad in the matches after fans stated that their string of matches were boring and lethargic. Maybe it is just a coincidence that they have ended up on opposite brands?

10 10. Friends: Randy Orton And John Cena

via wwe.com

It comes as no surprise that Randy Orton and John Cena have become good friends over the past few years. Both men climbed the ranks in WWE at the same time and have faced each other more times than any other stars in WWE history.

Orton and Cena have had a rivalry that has defined both of their careers and it seems that it's Orton who has recently stepped into Cena's empty shoes on SmackDown Live since his departure at WrestleMania. Orton and Cena are close to the same age and have a similar reputation backstage as well. It was only natural that both men would become close friends since their careers together have already spanned more than a decade and they have spent a lot of time on the road together in those years.

9 9. Enemies: Maryse And The Bella Twins

via twicopy.org

Maryse left WWE back in 2009 when she decided that she wanted to start her own business. This didn't go as well as Maryse hoped and so she has found her way back to WWE alongside her husband The Miz. She would have been signed back to WWE much sooner if it wasn't for The Bella Twins.

WWE wanted to sign The Bella Twins, Maryse ,and Maria back to WWE back in 2012 and all four women got together to decide that they would hold out for a better offer from the company. The Bella Twins went back on the deal and signed with WWE, while also convincing them not to resign Maryse or Maria. Maryse still holds a grudge since she brought it up when she made her return to Total Divas last year.

8 8. Friends: Paul Heyman And Brock Lesnar

via pl.wwe.com

The advocate for The Beast Incarnate and The Beast himself appear on WWE TV together all the time. But outside of the company, Brock Lesnar doesn't actually like human contact and instead decides to spend time away from the public eye in his remote location home that is reportedly in the middle of nowhere.

Despite his hatred of people, Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar are actually close friends. The duo have been together on WWE TV for a number of years, so much so that Brock has named Paul Heyman as the godfather to his and Sable's two children. Brock states that Heyman is one of the only people who understands him and Heyman feels the same way when it comes to The Beast himself.

7 7. Enemies: Renee Young And Lana

via funkyjunk.com

Lana and Renee Young both joined the cast of Total Divas for their most recent seasons. Renee's appearances on the E! Network Show have only served to prove that she isn't very nice to people that don't follow the way she wants to do things.

Lana invited her friends out and Renee followed and caused a lot of problems for Lana when she wouldn't go to bed a reasonable hour and instead wanted to stay up and be loud with Naomi. Lana didn't take well to this and actually hung up the phone on her before telling her husband Rusev that she hated Renee and then she decided the best thing to do was to ignore Renee until they came to the end of the trip.

6 6. Friends: Peyton Royce And Billie Kay

The Iconic Duo has shown just how close they are down in NXT as they have begun their unique takeover of the Women's Divison. Peyton Royce and Billie Kay have been able to remain close friends both on and off-screen while both fighting for the Women's Championship. They even won the NXT Female of the Year together back in 2016.

The duo hasn't been part of the title picture in NXT for a while now, but the WWE Universe are hopeful that they will be back soon. Royce and Kay are thought to be two women who are the future of the brand when Asuka is promoted to the main roster in the coming months. So it will be interesting to see how they are integrated back into the Women's Division.

5 5. Enemies: Chris Jericho And Sin Cara

via wwe.com

Sin Cara has been known to have anger problems with many stars backstage. During the UK tour last year, Cara picked on the wrong person when he refused to stop making a noise on the tour bus and then decided to step up to Chris Jericho.

Y2J took no prisoners and following their fight Sin Cara was sent home from the tour and forced to go into anger management since it was becoming a habit for him to get into fights with WWE Superstars. Jericho made a joke out of the whole situation and even worse a Sin Cara mask for an angle on Monday Night Raw a few weeks later. So at least he saw the funny side, even though Sin Cara has been used much less on WWE TV since then.

4 4. Friends: Alexa Bliss And Nia Jax

Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax are completely different women both on and off WWE TV. But their friendship has become such a popular thing on Instagram over the past few months that WWE has decided to make them friends on WWE TV as well. They even pushed Nia into the spot as the #1 Contender for the Women's Championship.

Nia and Alexa's on-screen friendship doesn't look as though it will last as long as their off-screen one has though. The duo have shared some hilarious videos of their time together on WWE's recent European Tour and have become quite a popular pairing. Now, they just need to deal with their issues over the Raw Women's Championship and then the WWE Universe will be able to see how great these two are as friends.

3 3. Enemies: Lana And Paige

via bbs.houdao.com

To find the root of Lana's issue with Paige, you have to go all the way back to the time the duo spent together down in NXT. Lana was one of the contestants in the 2013 Diva Search and when she wasn't named as a winner she was sent to NXT to train and then made the manager of Rusev.

Paige was at the top of the Women's Division at the time and Lana decided to share the fact that Paige actually bullied her when she first joined the company and didn't try to help her at all, unlike the other women who were down in the Performance Center at the time. Paige was annoyed that Lana was sharing it on Social Media and stated that she was trying to "get a storyline" but it seems Lana holds a grudge.

2 2. Friends: Roman Reigns And Braun Strowman

via twitter.com

It is hard to be involved in a bitter rivalry with another WWE star without becoming close to your competition. WWE stars have to talk strategy and break down matches and promos together all the time. Apparently, the feud between Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns has allowed them to become close friends.

While still part of a feud on WWE TV before Braun was injured and forced out of action for a few months at the hands of Roman Reigns, the duo decided to go on a tour together when WWE was out in Europe and completely break kayfabe by then uploading pictures of their tour on Instagram. The images were taken down by WWE not long after, but not before the WWE Universe saw them and realized that there is a new friendship on the horizon.

1 1. Enemies: Ken Doane And John Cena

eclipsemagazine.com/wwe.com

John Cena and Ken Doane have deep rooted issues. Back when Ken was known as Kenny Dykstra and engaged to Mickie James, Cena and Mickie were revealed to be cheating on Kenny and he was then forced to call off their engagement.

Kenny then blamed Cena for the fact that he was released from WWE not long afterwards and blames him for his career then going into freefall. Kenny has been outspoken about this on many different podcasts and was shockingly brought back to SmackDown following the WWE Draft last year. Kenny and John were both on the same roster for a number of months but never appeared on the same show because Kenny still holds a grudge. Mickie managed to return and work on the same show as Cena for a number of months though, as she has moved on from the situation.
