In a February 2016 Raw in Seattle, Washington Daniel Bryan retired from in-ring competition due to medical issues resulting from multiple concussions. However, since his announcement, the WWE universe has been wondering if Bryan would ever wrestle again. And now, according to his wife, Brie Bella, it isn’t a question of if, but when.

During a recent appearance on the From The Top Rope podcast, Brie stated that she "knows for a fact" that Bryan will eventually return to the ring. Which is a very strong statement given the medical issues that lead to his retirement in the first place.

At the age of 34,  Bryan was forced to retire from wrestling due to complications from multiple concussions throughout his career. Bryan didn't want to retire but, he was quoted on the Daily Mail website the day after his announcement on Raw that tests revealed things were worse than he had thought. "A week and a half ago I took a test which said maybe my brain isn't as OK as I thought it was."

"A week and a half ago I took a test which said maybe my brain isn't as OK as I thought it was," said Bryan in a retirement speech.

Since his retirement, there have been many rumors surrounding a possible return to the ring for Bryan but nothing has seemed as definitive as that statement by Brie.

According to Bella, Bryan has been looking for treatments to heal his brain pretty much from the moment he retired. He has been testing and experimenting with all kinds of treatments for his brain, and he looks to have found one that works. "He actually found one," she said, "it’s this oxygen hyperbaric chamber or something."

The treatment is called Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) and it involves, according to the HBOT website, using high-pressure oxygen as a drug in order to treat "basic pathophysiologic processes and their diseases."

Bella said her husband has already undergone 40 treatments and she has told him that she will support his return to the ring if the doctors clear him. She told him to remember that he has a daughter, but she also understands that this is his dream and his passion and if he gets the green light from the doctors, then she will support him and would never hold him back.

"Because I love to wrestle, and I would hate if someone told me you can’t do it. And if WWE doesn’t allow it, then I said, ‘Go somewhere else. It’s all on you.’ Obviously, he would love to be able to get back in that WWE ring, but I know for a fact my husband is going to find his way back to the ring. He honestly is."
