Sasha Banks recently made it clear that she isn't happy about her fans approaching her whenever she's out and about. Whether it's at an airport or at a hotel.

Banks has compared her fans approaching her to stalking. She talked about it on the Sam Roberts Podcast.

“I grew up a wrestling fan, so I knew that I wanted to meet all my favorite wrestlers. But always in the back of my head I never thought in my life to be like, ‘Hey, they’re gonna fly in. Maybe I should wait at the airport for like 12 hours at a gate. Hey! They don’t want any sleep. Maybe I’ll go find their hotel they’re staying at and let me bother them.”

“Like to me, that’s stalking. I don’t tweet out what hotel I’m at. I don’t tweet out what airline I’m flying. I do tweet you what arena I’ll be performing at, so I do expect fans at the arena, and I’m so happy to sign at the arena, that’s fine because I’m telling you where I’m going to be at. If I see you in public, that’s fine. But when I’m at an airport at four in the morning and I see somebody with a carry-on and they open it with a hundred items of everyone and they’re bothering everybody to get an autograph, and I see it on eBay – that’s not okay to me.”

We get what Banks is saying, it is a little over the top and is stalker-like.  But that's why they're fans. Fans are fanatics. Which means they're crazy about a particular thing. In this case, the thing the fans are crazy about is Banks herself, and unfortunately, fans do all kinds of things that don't make sense.

Banks has been able to solidify herself as a very famous wrestler and that fame is what makes her profitable for the WWE. Not everyone deals with being famous well and it sounds like Banks is having a hard time with it.

Fellow wrestler Bubba Ray Dudley posted a message on Twitter about Banks and her complaining.

Dudley made his wrestling debut back in 1991 and knows what the business is like after being around for so many years. We're sure he's seen may wrestlers flop and not make it. Those are the same men and women that would to trade places with Banks in a heart beat.

It's easy to take things for granted, and Dudley is clearly warning Banks to appreciate the attention because it will not last forever. Even though Banks made her wrestling debut in 2010, she just became really famous after being added the Raw's main roster in 2016.

Being a WWE wrestler is not just about getting in the ring and putting your body on the line. It's a lifestyle, and it comes with a lot of downsides like this.
