Paige isn't the only female WWE Superstar that is set to make a return to in-ring action after well over a year off of television.

With the sheer amount of female talent present in WWE right now, it's not as easy for certain Superstars to get as much TV time as they might have enjoyed in the past. The women's roster is packed with incredible talent and that's only set to become even more true as WWE recruit some of the stand out performers from the Mae Young Classic. We are in the middle of a golden age of women's wrestling.

Right now, former WWE Divas' Champion Paige is in the process of trying to force her way back into the women's locker room. The British Superstar has been away from the ring for over a year now and has recently returned to the WWE Performance Center in order to get back into ring shape. Well, it turns out Paige isn't the only female Superstar trying to make a return after a long lay off.

Another woman that has been inexplicably absent —for the most part—from WWE television for well over a year now is Summer Rae. In fact, the last time we saw her compete in the ring was for an episode of Superstars in July 2016, and the last time she wrestled on Raw came two weeks prior to that. On Tuesday this week, Rae dropped a hint on Twitter that she's about to return to the ring, warning the ladies of WWE (presumably) to get their wig glue.

Despite Rae not being used on Raw since last July, she was still selected by the flagship brand during the draft. Oddly enough, the aforementioned Superstars match, which was against Becky Lynch, took place just a day before the draft and she hasn't been used since. Since then, Rae had bad luck with injuries, but if her social media is anything to go by then that bad luck may be about to come to an end.

Competition is fierce in WWE's women's division right now, on both Raw and SmackDown Live, so if Summer Rae is going to make something of her return, then she is going to have to up her game. The likes of Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks will be taking no prisoners and it will be interesting to see where Summer slots into the current landscape.
