John Cena's father is a big fan of Sasha Banks, but for some reason is not too keen on her fellow Superstars Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair.

You hear and see a lot of wrestlers and former Superstars performing shoot interview where they discuss things that happened behind the scenes when they were with major companies and dish dirt that would have otherwise remained hidden to the WWE Universe. Sometimes they'll even put down members of the present day roster, and that's what we've seen from John Cena recently. No not that John Cena, his father John Cena Sr.

The father of the sixteen time World Champion is apparently a big Sasha Banks fan. That comes as no surprise considering the part of the world that both he and The Boss hail from. The shocking thing is that Cena Sr. did not have glowing references for all of the WWE Superstar's names that came up during a recent interview, which might be a misstep on his part considering his son's stature in the company.

Cena's dad recently sat down with Boston Wrestling Sports and much of the conversation revolved around Sasha. Cena Sr. and the interviewer discussed Sasha airing her grievances about WWE, to which Cena Sr. replied that she should leave and added that she could make a lot of money on the indies, citing Cody Rhodes as an example. When asked why WWE seems to place more faith in Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair, Cena Sr. responded that he disliked both performers and that Bliss has "the looks and the body, that's about it." He then said that he should stop before he said something that got him into trouble.

“I’m not a fan of Charlotte Flair. I’ll be right upfront. Alexa Bliss, what’s she got? The looks and the body, that’s about it," says Cena Sr (transcribed by eWrestlingNews.com). "You know what? I’m going to stop before I get myself in trouble. Natalya is a great kid, I think Sasha is a great performer, it’s too bad Bayley is out.”

The interview that John Cena's father was referring to in reference to Sasha Banks was The Boss's appearance on the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast. It's an appearance that has raised a lot of eyebrows from fans for a number of reasons, one of which was Banks slightly disparaging talk about her employers. The Boss said that she gets frustrated when she doesn't know what is happening on Raw until she gets there, and doesn't understand why WWE won't have her keep the Women's Championship for any significant period of time.

It seems extremely odd for John Cena Sr. to be commenting on WWE's Superstars in this way, especially ones that aren't linked to his own son in any way. When John Cena Jr. does catch wind of this interview we can't imagine it'll go down well. Yes, his father is entitled to his own opinion, but when that opinion can affect his son's working life, it really seems like he should be more careful about what he's saying.
