If you have been at any of the SmackDown tapings over the last three weeks since Shinsuke Nakamura’s WWE debut than this probably won’t come as much of a shock to you because for the last three weeks Nakamura has fought in the SmackDown main event dark matches and each time his opponent has been Dolph Ziggler.

And Sportskeeda is reporting that the reason those have all been dark matches is because the WWE has been keeping Nakamura v. Ziggler off TV as that is the the match they currently have planned for the Backlash PPV on May 21st.

Backlash is taking place in Chicago this year and the company thinks that Nakamura will get a huge reaction from the Chicago crowd.

At this point we don’t know what the plan is for Shinsuke before Backlash, but there is the possibility that they will hold off and make Backlash in four weeks Nakamura’s SmackDown in-ring debut!
