The New Day made WWE history on Monday night when they became the longest reigning Tag Team Champions in the history of the company.
The trio beat the long-standing record held by Demolition following an exciting night on Raw which saw them come out on top against Sheamus and Cesaro, Gallows and Anderson, Jeri-KO, and Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.
Even though WWE have pushed The New Day this far over the past 18 months, it seems that they now have plans to see the positive trio drop the titles at the earliest possible time.
This Sunday The New Day face Cesaro and Sheamus with the Tag Titles on the line at RoadBlock: End Of The Line and it seems that this could be when The New Day are finally defeated.
The current champions have reigned their division now ever since SummerSlam last year and it could be argued that whichever team finally defeats them, will be given a huge push. But given that the challengers this weekend are Cesaro and Sheamus, a team who are not yet established as a duo, it is hard to see how this will work out.
If The New Day do retain their titles then they will potentially go into their third year as champions after holding the titles in 2015, all of 2016, and possibly the beginning of 2017.
