WWE has always been a land of giants, as numerous gigantic Superstars have graced the ring in different eras. Viscera was one such giant, who wrestled in WWE in the 1990s as well as 2000s. In his prime, Viscera weighed nearly 500 pounds and stood at 6 feet and 9 inches.

7 Nelson Knight In The Indies & TNA

Viscera in TNA

Viscera started his wrestling career in 1991, making his debut in the independent circuit. During that time he wrestled in a tag team called The Harlem Knights. In his initial days, Viscera used the ring name, Nelson Knight. Besides that phase, he also made a couple of appearances as Nelson Knight in TNA years later.

The character introduced Viscera to the wrestling scene. He didn't have much exposure as Nelson Knight nor did he achieve much success besides being a tag team competitor.

When wrestlers go past their primes, they certainly stop making similar impacts in the ring or as a character. Likewise, Viscera retired in 2013, and he wasn't making the impact like his heyday in the final few years of his career.

He wrestled as Big Daddy Voodoo in Japan. That gimmick of Viscera wasn't over like his other versions. Besides winning a tag team title, he didn't do much there as Big Daddy Voodoo.

5 Viscera In The Attitude Era

The Attitude Era had many big stars, and Viscera, who was earlier known as Mabel, was repackaged. The new gimmick called Viscera was strikingly different with a completely new look. As he joined The Undertaker's Ministry of Darkness, he adopted a gothic-style look. Also, he started wearing new black gear.

While the Viscera version in the Attitude Era was frightening, he didn't have desired success with it. Viscera didn't win anything noteworthy during that run nor did he have any memorable feuds. He was struggling in the mid-card.

4 Early WWE Run As Mabel

Mabel

After dropping the Nelson Knight gimmick from the indies, when he signed for WWE, he got a new name called Mabel. However, The Harlem Knights remained a team, but their name, as well as the gimmick, changed. They were known as Men on a Mission. The early version of Mabel had a decent run, as he was slowly getting out of the label of tag team specialist. Mabel's gigantic size made him a unique talent, and WWE eventually started to build him as a singles star.

Even though he didn't win any titles as a rookie in the promotion, it was an important phase of his career. He built his momentum before moving forward with a big push in 1995.

3 Big Daddy V

Big Daddy V

Big Daddy V was another interesting gimmick of Viscera. He was drafted to ECW in 2007 and was given a new gimmick under the ring name, Big Daddy V. His gear also changed as he became associated with Matt Striker on programming.

The most notable feud of Big Daddy V was with Kane. Being a sidekick, the character wasn't over. Although Big Daddy V competed in some good matches, it wasn't among the best iterations of his character. Perhaps a longer run with the character would have helped him achieve more.

2 Viscera In The Ruthless Aggression Era

Viscera and Trish

Viscera's career in WWE took a new turn when he returned with the same gimmick in the Ruthless Aggression Era. Unlike the previous run as Viscera, this version of the gimmick was certainly versatile with more experience, screen time, and better storylines. When he aligned with Trish Stratus, he and the former Women's Champion feuded with Kane and Lita. He had a couple of entertaining segments with Trish while trying to seduce her. Due to his attempt of seducing the blonde stunner, he received the tag name, 'The World's Largest Love Machine.

Since it was the longest run of the Viscera character, he saw his character evolve. Besides being a big monster, he also showed a romantic and fun side while seducing the likes of Trish Stratus and Lilian Garcia. His tag team with Val Venis also made him a significant part of the tag team division, making it one of the best versions of Viscera.

1 King Mabel

King Mabel

Arguably the best version of Viscera was when he received a huge push as King Mabel in the mid-1990s. Following his rookie years as Mabel, WWE started pushing him as a singles star. The first stepping stone was winning the King of Ring tournament back in 1995, thus earning the 'King' moniker. He also turned into a heel, and after a while, his character became the biggest heel of the company.

King Mabel even main evented SummerSlam 1995 against Diesel, but his push at the top didn't stay long. Nevertheless, he reached the highest point of his wrestling career with this version. He not only challenged the WWE Championship but also headlined some big shows as the top bad guy.
