Real-life wrestling couples being used on television for storylines and angles has become commonplace within professional wrestling over recent years. The likes of Edge and Beth Phoenix, The Miz and Maryse, or Rusev and Lana have all been used in storylines, and that has worked out perfectly.

Fans can engage with them because they instantly know that everything is real. It's something that works well in storylines, but there are plenty of great couples that WWE has surprisingly never ended up putting together on-screen, even though they feel like they would have been a hit.

9 Ricochet & Kacy Catanzaro

Ricochet and Kacy Catanzaro may no longer be a couple, but it would have been easy for them to have been presented as such on television when they were. Because they're natural babyfaces who are incredibly athletic, they would have made an interesting couple on-screen.

There's no doubt that they would have been able to put together some great double-team moves that would have been incredible to witness. However, WWE opted to keep them apart during their time as a couple, with this being a missed opportunity.

8 Charlotte Flair & Andrade

While they now work for different promotions, there was a time when Charlotte Flair and Andrade shared a roster. They got together while working for WWE, and that provided a good chance for the two of them to be presented together on television.

It could have been something unique for them to do on television, and there's no doubt that their gimmicks have some serious similarities. The two of them could have been presented well together, which might have helped Andrade's WWE career had it happened.

7 Dean Ambrose & Renee Young

During their time in WWE, the company did allude to the relationship between Dean Ambrose and Renee Young on television. However, the company never truly committed to presenting them as an on-screen couple which could have been easy to do.

Because Renee was so popular, it would have been simple to make this happen. Both of them were fan favorites, and audiences could have easily bought into Renee being in Ambrose's corner. Even now in AEW, this is an on-screen partnership that fans would enjoy seeing take place.

6 Aleister Black & Zelina Vega

WWE did have Aleister Black and Zelina Vega involved in a storyline together at one point, but they were on opposing sides as Zelina managed Andrade. However, they could have been intriguing together, mainly because Zelina's promo skills would have helped Black in WWE.

While their presentation was vastly different from what the other was doing, it would have been easy for Vega to have switched things up. Seeing her present a darker, edgier gimmick would have worked, as she is always able to connect 100% to her character.

5 Keith Lee & Mia Yim

During their time in WWE, the company never pushed the fact that Keith Lee and Mia Yim were a couple. That was a mistake, because together they could have been an excellent on-screen couple. The two of them have got plenty of chemistry, and putting them together would have made sense.

Yim would have added something different to the overall presentation that the Limitless One was offering. Fans loved both of them for their personalities and in-ring talent, so placing them as a couple would likely have worked out in their favor.

4 Roderick Strong & Marina Shafir

A lot of wrestling fans may not be aware of the relationship between Roderick Strong and Marina Shafir, because it is not pushed a lot. Now they work for different promotions, it isn't something that could happen, but there was a time when WWE could have paired this couple together.

Having them be a pair that just focuses on the in-ring product, wrestling better than everyone would have been interesting. This could have happened with Diamond Mine, and it would have been interesting to see how it all played out.

3 Zack Ryder & Emma

This is a couple that no longer exists, with Zack Ryder now being in a relationship with Chelsea Green. However, on-screen, Ryder and Emma could have worked perfectly. At times, neither of them were being utilized by the company, and that's where it would have made sense.

They both have big personalities that would have worked well on television, and that is something that would have potentially helped each of them at that time in their careers to push them.

2 Sarah Logan & Erik

When The Riott Squad came to an end, there was a very obvious next move for her, which would have been to place her alongside Erik. The two of them are married in real life, and they both have similar personalities in their love for a Viking lifestyle, which is the gimmick that The Viking Raiders push.

Adding Logan to that overall package just made sense. It would have been easy for them to be positioned together, and it could have stopped her from being released by the company.

1 Tye Dillinger & Peyton Royce

Tye Dillinger and Peyton Royce are two great wrestlers, and during their time in WWE, they worked brilliantly. However, the company kept them apart during their stints on the roster. This was a missed opportunity, because the gimmicks that they had were very similar, and would have worked.

During Dillinger's Perfect 10 gimmick, it would have been the perfect time to put Royce by his side and reveal that they were a couple. It could have added to his character, while it would have only enhanced Royce at the same time.
