Title fights are one of the most exciting ways for MMA organizations to promote viewership and draw interest. The UFC usually has a title fight headline a PPV card and includes the champion defending his belt against a top-ranked competitor.

Over the years, the UFC has instituted several divisions including four women's divisions. Now, the UFC has 12 divisions, and many PPVs feature more than one title fight. There have been instances where a single UFC PPV card has had three title fights. These cards have been among the most anticipated and popular PPV cards in MMA history.

7 UFC 205

UFC 205 was the first card to take place in New York City. It featured a stacked and three title fights. Former women's strawweight champion Joanna Jędrzejczyk defended her title against Karolina Kowalkiewicz by unanimous decision. The co-main event featured a thrilling welterweight clash between former champion Tyron Woodley and top-ranked contender Stephen Thompson. Woodley retained his belt by majority draw and the bout one fight of the night honors.'

The main event featured a champion versus champion fight between featherweight champion Conor McGregor and lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez for Alvarez's lightweight title. McGregor dominated Alvarez from start to finish using his powerful counter striking and became the new UFC lightweight champion by second-round knockout. This marked the time in UFC history that a UFC fighter held two different championships simultaneously. It is considered one of the most memorable events in MMA history.

6 UFC 214

UFC 214 took place in Anaheim, CA and created a lot of buzz in the MMA community. The first of three title fights were for the vacant women's featherweight championship. Cris Cyborg defeated Tonya Evinger in round three to become the new women's featherweight champion.

The co-main event was a welterweight title fight between Tyron Woodley and Demian Maia. Woodley defended his belt by unanimous decision and dominated Maia from start to finish. However, he was criticized for not pulling the trigger often and failing to finish Maia who was in survival mode for the majority of the fight.

The main event featured the return of Jon Jones in his attempt to reclaim the UFC light heavyweight championship after numerous legal issues. After losing the first two rounds to light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier, Jones landed a flush head kick in round three and finished Cormier with ground strikes. However, he was later stripped after testing positive for a banned substance.

5 UFC 217

UFC 217 is the best PPV card that featured three title fights. It is also the only card where all three champions lost their belts. Rose Namajunas ended Joanna Jędrzejczyk's dominant title run by knocking her out in the first round.

TJ Dillashaw reclaimed the UFC bantamweight championship by knocking friend-turned rival Cody Barbrandt in the second round. The main event featured a super fight between middleweight champion Michael Bisping and former welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre who made his UFC return as a middleweight.

St-Pierre won the UFC middleweight championship by submitting Bisping in the third round. However, he later vacated the belt and retired from MMA for good.

4 UFC 245

UFC 245 featured three entertaining title fights in the final PPV card of 2019. Amanda Nunes defended her bantamweight title by defeating Germain de Randamie by unanimous decision. Alexander Volkanovski surprised the world by dethroning featherweight champion Max Holloway in the co-main event. Volkanovski utilized versatile movement and constant pressure to not allow Holloway to build any momentum and won a unanimous decision.

The main event featured Kamaru Usman defending his title for the first time against rival Colby Covington. The two engaged in a back and forth brawl with many media outlets scoring the bout 2-2 going into round five. Usman hurt Covington late in the final round and defeated the top-ranked welterweight by TKO. The bout is considered one of the best welterweight title fights in UFC history.

3 UFC 251

UFC 251 was underwhelming compared to the buzz it had created in the weeks leading up to the fight. Petr Yan became the new bantamweight champion knocking Jose Aldo in the fifth round. Alexander Volkanovski defended his featherweight title in a rematch with Max Holloway despite many believing Holloway had done enough to reclaim the title.

The main event was originally scheduled to feature Kamaru Usman defending his title against Gilbert Burns. However, Burns was forced to pull out and was replaced by Jorge Masvidal. The fight lacked any meaningful action and featured Usman defending his belt by utilizing a safe and uneventful game plan.

2 UFC 259

UFC 259 took place on March 6, 2021, behind closed doors in the UFC Apex arena. The first title fight featured Petr Yan defending his bantamweight title against Aljamain Sterling. Although he won every round going into round four, Yan lost the title due to landing an illegal knee that left Sterling unable to compete. The pair are scheduled to rematch in April to settle the score.

The co-main event featured Amanda Nunes defending her featherweight belt by quickly submitting Megan Anderson in the first round. The main event showcased middleweight champion Israel Adesanya moving up to light heavyweight to become a dual champion. However, light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz defeated Adesanya by unanimous decision due to utilizing his strength and wrestling.

UFC 261 featured three title fights and all three fights ended incredibly. Valentina Shevchenko defended her flyweight title by dominating Jessica Andrade en route to a second-round stoppage. Rose Namajunas stunned the MMA community by knocking out Zhang Weili by a head kick in round one to become a two-time strawweight champion. She is the first woman in UFC history to reclaim a title after losing it.

The main event featured a rematch between Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal for the welterweight championship. This time around, Usman silenced all the critics by knocking out Masvidal by landing a powerful left cross. This was the first time Masvidal was knocked out in the UFC and the performance earned Usman knockout of the year from many media outlets.
