AEW might have only been around for a couple of years, but a lot has happened in that short period of time that has led to a lot of different people coming and going from the company. Certain acts that were featured prominently early on are no longer used as much, or aren't together anymore, with specific acts simply being forgotten about by some fans.

With so many big names such as CM Punk and Bryan Danielson appearing, it is easy for fans to have begun to forget certain acts that didn't make quite as much of an impact overall earlier on.

10 SCU

SCU

SCU had tons of hype surrounding them when AEW first began as they were one of the featured groups within the company. The fact that they became the first-ever AEW Tag Team Champions showcased how popular the trio was originally.

However, the group ended up fizzling away, mainly because the booking wasn't that strong for them. Scorpio Sky breaking out on his own didn't help and because Frankie Kazarian and Christopher Daniels also went their own ways, this group didn't get to have a truly defining legacy that made them memorable overall.

9 The Librarians

The Librarians in AEW Cropped

The Librarians might be the most unpopular gimmick in AEW's early history at this point, and it could take a lot of beating. While Peter Avalon and Leva Bates certainly committed to this role, the AEW fans absolutely hated it and the amount of television time it got.

When AEW Dark and Dark Elevation began, the two became less prominent and they moved into different gimmicks. Because it was such an unpopular act that never went any higher than the jobber status, they were easily forgotten.

8 Pineapple Pete

During the peak of the pandemic, AEW brought in a lot of independent wrestlers in order to give them work while the world was at a standstill. It was great to see, and Pineapple Pete (Sugar Dunkerton), ended up making a huge impact in this period.

He got to feud with Chris Jericho which is something that helped to make him thrive. However, because he didn't get kept around in the long term, fans have ended up forgetting about this act and the brief run he had.

7 Nyla Rose & Ariane Andrew

Another act that fans have absolutely forgotten about is the random pairing that happened between Nyla Rose and Ariane Andrew. While Nyla has obviously had a great run in AEW so far, this particular section of her time with the company made very little sense.

When AEW decided to host a women's tag team tournament they brought in plenty of women to fill it. One of those was former WWE Superstar, Ariane Andrew, who was paired with Nyla for some reason. They didn't fair well in the tournament and this was quickly forgotten about.

6 Jeff Cobb

Jeff Cobb AEW Debut

Perhaps if Jeff Cobb's appearance in AEW had come now, when the Forbidden Door was firmly blown open, it might have made more of a memorable impact. However, that wasn't the case and while his appearance was a huge surprise, it isn't one that fans still talk about.

Cobb was brought in during the storyline between Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley where he helped Le Champion as the muscle of The Inner Circle. But his appearance was brief and forgettable, which stopped him from being a memorable act.

5 Bea Priestley

Bea Priestley was part of the AEW roster for quite some time and she was used a lot by the company. However, this was during the period when AEW really didn't push its women's division enough, which is why she never really did anything significant.

While Priestley is a fantastic talent, she ended up parting with the company to go and work in Japan before signing with NXT UK. In the end, her time with AEW has simply been forgotten as Priestly didn't make the impact that people originally thought she would.

4 Joey Janela

While Joey Janela is still on the AEW roster, he is someone that most fans have forgotten about unless they watch shows other than Dynamite and Rampage. When the company first began, Janela was pushed quite heavily with his hardcore style helping get him over.

He competed in big matches with the likes of Kenny Omega and Darby Allin, but while some wrestlers rose, he ended up sinking. Janela hasn't sustained the run that he was on which has led to him being forgotten by a lot of fans.

3 The Hughes Bros

Originally being debuted as TNT and then later changing to The Hughes Bros, Terrence and Terrell are a tag team that most fans have completely forgotten about. They actually had nine matches during their time with AEW, but then vanished completely.

It's interesting that they didn't end up making any real impact considering the fact they're the sons of D-Von Dudley, making them a top second-generation act. However, while they might be stars for the future, right now fans have forgotten them.

2 Aja Kong

Aja Kong in AEW

Aja Kong was someone that fans were very excited about early on in AEW as she was showcased as one of the top members of the women's division. Knowing how great she is in the ring, the hardcore fans built up a lot of anticipation about what she could do.

However, that never ended up materializing. For whatever reason, she simply stopped appearing on the show and that was the end of it. The big match between Awesome Kong and Aja didn't come together that had been teased, and most fans have now forgotten about her completely.

1 The Nightmare Collective

The Nightmare Collective in the ring

Something that fans have certainly forgot existed was The Nightmare Collective. This was a faction created by Brandi Rhodes, but it was booked very poorly from the start, which is why so many people have forgotten that it was even a thing.

The group featured Mel, Rhodes, Awesome Kong, and Luther, which was a strange collection of people. But it never made sense, with Brandi's turn to the darker side of wrestling not being properly explained, which is why this was quickly pushed away.
