It's still unclear which of AEW's four annual shows is its biggest. Double or Nothing has a stake to that claim, but so does All Out. The next PPV on the AEW calendar has arguably existed for longer than AEW has, debuting as All In the year before the new promotion was established. The show will return for the fourth time this year, not including All In, and will once again emanate from Chicago.

All Out will go down during what has shaped up to be an incredibly busy weekend for wrestling fans, a little more than 24 hours after WWE's Clash at the Castle. The AEW PPV will begin at 8 pm EST on Sunday, September 4, 2022, likely with a one-hour pre-show kicking things off. Fans in the US will be able to order and watch All Out through B/R Live, while everyone else can do the same through Fite. Everything announced for the card so far can be found below.

A TBS Title match and a clash between Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs have been added to the card.

UPDATE: 2022/08/25 16:57 EST BY JOSH COULSON

The AEW Women's Title match became a four-way, the Motor City Machine Guns were added to Wardlow and FTR's match, and three other matches were added to the card during the August 24 edition of Dynamite.

CM Punk vs. Jon Moxley for the AEW Championship

If you had checked this match card any further out than four days before the show, the World Title match would have been missing from it. That's because AEW didn't confirm Jon Moxley and CM Punk would be having a rematch until the go-home edition of Dynamite.

Despite the lack of build, there is a lot of buzz surrounding this match. What makes it even more deserving of the main event slot is the inability to predict a winner. Punk seems the most likely candidate with it being in Chicago, but it could go either way.

Toni Storm vs. Britt Baker vs. Jamie Hayter vs. Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women's Championship

Thunder Rosa and Toni Storm have battled for the AEW Women's Title once before at Forbidden Door. They were supposed to compete for it again at All Out, but Rosa has had to relinquish the title due to an injury. Instead, Storm will compete against Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter, and Hikaru Shida for the vacant championship.

While it would be nice to see Hayter get the big moment she deserves in this one and break away from Baker, that might be a little abrupt. It's far more likely Storm will be crowned the new champion on September 4.

The Elite vs. TBD for the AEW Trios Championships

AEW will crown its very first Trios Champions at All Out. The Elite was the first team to book their spot in the final, winning a match against United Empire that arguably should have been at All Out. They will face the winners of Dark Order and Best Friends who will compete in the second semifinal on Rampage.

Regardless of who wins on Friday, it seems highly unlikely that The Elite won't be winning the titles at All Out. Tony Khan effectively said the titles were being saved for Omega's return, so it would be quite the swerve if he and The Bucks aren't the first champions.

Chris Jericho vs. Bryan Danielson

There always seems to be one match on every AEW PPV that doesn't have a title, seems a little forced, but everyone's okay with it because it's probably going to be great. Chris Jericho and Bryan Danielson might well be that match at All Out. Two wrestlers with a ton of experience and quite a bit of history clashing in what might be match of the night.

There is sort of something at stake here, of course. The heart of Daniel Garcia. Garcia can't decide if he's a pro wrestler or a sports entertainer. Danielson to win this one and bring Garcia on board with the Blackpool Combat Club.

Christian Cage vs. Jungle Boy

The build to Christian Cage turning on Jungle Boy might have felt long, but it was evident once the turn happened that the veteran knew exactly what he was doing. Some of the stuff Cage has been saying will have had fans cringing, and in fairness, Jungle Boy has returned with some pretty stiff shots.

The build to this has been great, but there can only be one winner, The whole point of putting Cage with Jungle Boy is so we could eventually get to this match and Cage can put the young star over in a major way.

Jade Cargill vs. Athena for the TBS Championship

This match could potentially be a very big deal. More than 30 matches later, Jade Cargill remains unbeaten in AEW. However, outside of the match in which she became TBS Champion, this bout has received the most build of her career to date. So much, in fact, that Athena was teasing this match before she even signed for AEW.

As for whether this will be the match where Cargill finally loses remains to be seen. Yes, it would be cool to see the streak continue, but seriously, if Athena doesn't win this, who on Earth is left to viably challenge Cargill after All Out?

Swerve In Our Glory vs. The Acclaimed for the AEW Tag Team Championships

via AEW

Swerve In Our Glory became unlikely Tag Team Champions a short while ago and have been doing a great job of holding onto the belts despite Swerve and Keith Lee not really liking each other when their tag team journey began. At All Out, they'll face a team in The Acclaimed who has arguably been kept out of the title picture for too long.

The Acclaimed has effectively been there since the very beginning but has barely had a title shot, let alone a reign. It makes sense they would begrudge the champs who are relative newcomers to AEW. Fully expect the established AEW team to win gold for the first time here.

Casino Ladder Match For A Future AEW Title Shot

via AEW

Tradition dictates that a casino match of some sort take place at AEW PPVs, and at All Out the ladder match returns. Eight wrestlers will compete with a future AEW Title shot on the line.

Seven of the eight men in the match have already been announced, and if we had to pick a winner right now it would be Andrade. It's a pretty even playing field though, so there's every chance the unrevealed Joker wins the match on Saturday.

Ricky Starks vs. Powerhouse Hobbs

There might not be a title on the line in this one, but that will not take away from the great match it could potentially be. Team Taz is done, but former members Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs still have a score to settle. Nothing tangible on the line, but a lot of pride up for grabs in what might well be one of the best matches of the night.

Starks really has to win this one. His promos lately have proved he is capable of performing on the highest level in AEW. This match on this stage has to be the final step to him officially pulling up his seat at the top table.

Wardlow and FTR vs. Jay Lethal and The Motor City Machine Guns

via AEW

A number of titles won't be on the line at All Out because they'll be tied up in this six-person tag match. Jay Lethal didn't handle defeat well when he failed to beat Wardlow for the TNT Title. The challenger and his All Out teammates reacted by putting the TNT champ through a table.

Still not satisfied, Dutt called out Wardlow on Dynamite, at which point FTR appeared by the champ's side to even up the numbers. All six men were going to compete in a match at All Out, but Lethal will now be teaming with the debuting Motor City Machine Guns instead. The trio of champions will probably pick up the win, though.

All Out Zero Hour Pre-Show

The below three matches have been confirmed for All Out's Zero Hour which kicks off an hour before the main card.,

  • Pac vs. Kip Sabian for the AEW All-Atlantic Championship
  • Tomohiro Ishii vs. Eddie Kingston
  • Hook vs. Angelo Parker for the FTW Championship
