Winner: Adam Cole Wins His First AEW Match

Adam Cole defeated Frankie Kazarian in the first match of the night which also happened to be Cole's first match in an AEW ring. Unsurprisingly, Cole and Kazarian had great chemistry and brought out the best in each other in a really solid match that the crowd loved. Cole is just as over as he was in NXT, if not more so.

Losers: MJF And Wardlow

MJF cut another monster heel promo in which he completely obliterated the state of New Jersey and got some nuclear heat in the process. He then proceeded to have a conversation with the ghost of the late Brian Pillman and continued to belittle the Pillman family ... until Brian Jr's music hit. When Wardlow went to meet Pillman on the ramp, Pillman entered the ring from behind with a chair and had MJF cowering in fear and begging off like a coward. Wardlow returned to the ring but Pillman Jr. got the better of him too.

MJF and Brian Pillman Jr. will go one-on-one on next week's Arthur Ashe Dynamite.

Winner: Rosario Dawson

Hollywood movie star Rosario Dawson (who also happens to be a judge on TNT's The Go Big Show) was in the front row minding her own business when she was called out by Malakai Black, who took issue with Dawson's Nightmare Family hoodie. Black attempted to intimidate Dawson, but Cody Rhodes appeared. Dawson took advantage of the distraction and leaped on Black's back. Black shook Dawson off but by that point, Cody had arrived. Black and Rhodes fought through the crowd until the show went to commercial break. The two men go one-on-one on next week's Dynamite when Cody will be hoping to get his win back.

Loser: Dan Lambert

For someone who hates AEW so much, MMA guy Dan Lambert sure does spend a lot of time following AEW around the country. Anyway, Lambert cut another anti-AEW promo but was interrupted by Chris Jericho and Jake Hager. Jericho did some classic Jericho mic work and straight-up embarrassed Lambert. Jericho and Hager will take on Lambert's cronies Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky on next week's Rampage.

Winner: Hook

CM Punk provided color commentary on the show until Team Taz showed up. Punk squared up to Taz's son Hook but was jumped from behind by Powerhouse Hobbs. Hook got Punk in a Dragon Sleeper and Hobbs put punk through the announce table. It was later announced that Punk would go one-on-one with Hobbs on next week's Rampage.

Hook hasn't had a match yet, but he's been absolutely crushing it in the strong silent-type bully role. All he does is stand there and stare at people with his very punchable gen-z face, but he does it extremely well. He has a natural charisma, and when he finally does wrestle, it will be a big deal.

Loser: Don Callis

Tony Schiavone welcomed "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson to the ring for a chat, but Danielson was interrupted by AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and his associate Don Callis. Callis chastised Danielson for demanding matches even though The Elite calls the shots in AEW. Danielson attempted to appeal to Kenny's better judgment by saying that he came to AEW because he wanted to fight "The Best Bout Machine." The ploy worked because Omega accepted Danielson's challenge and the two men will face off inside Arthur Ashe Stadium in a non-title match on next week's AEW Dynamite Grand Slam.

The fans in attendance were really into this segment and they were right to be. They popped huge for Danielson and chanted "YES!" at every opportunity. The roof almost came off the place when Danielson called Callis a "piece of s**t."
