AEW Full Gear, 2021 was an excellent PPV from start to finish. The show truly proved how deep the roster is and the wide variety of matches brought something for everybody, which is exactly what a good show should do. The company paid off some fantastic storylines and allowed others the chance to continue.

AEW is certainly coming out of this show a lot stronger than they went in, and Tony Khan must look to capitalize on that with smart booking decisions. That is something that he will no doubt do, with several decisions being obvious for the company to make.

10 The Inner Circle Takes A Break

The Inner Circle

The storyline between The Inner Circle and American Top Team should be finished after Full Gear, as there is nothing left to achieve from that. However, it also feels like there isn't anything else to achieve from Chris Jericho's stable sticking together anymore either.

A break from Jericho as a featured star wouldn't be a bad thing at this point, while the rest of the faction are all capable of thriving on their own. Having them stay as friends to potentially return to this down the line would make sense, but taking a break right now would be the right call.

9 Turn Cody Rhodes

He might be set against making this happen, but at this point, it's clear that Cody Rhodes needs a heel turn. Audiences simply aren't accepting him in the role that AEW is wanting him to be in and it is damaging the matches he is in.

Cody tries to tell babyface stories inside of the ring, but then it doesn't connect because the audience doesn't react in that manner. AEW could benefit massively from Cody as a top heel in the industry, and that is something that should happen.

8 Book More Women's Matches

Britt Baker AEW Women's Champion

While AEW has certainly stepped up its work with the women's division in recent months, the fact that Full Gear's main card only featured one match from that side of the roster isn't good enough. The company has a lot of talented workers in the women's division, but that wasn't showcased enough.

It's something that the creative team needs to continue pushing as much as possible because it will add something more to the product. Breaking things up and showcasing different talents is something that would only enhance the PPVs moving forwards.

7 Create Trios Titles

Adam Cole and The Young Bucks Cropped

AEW has got a lot of groups and factions, and that is something that has worked out well overall for the company. However, considering how often six-man tag team matches get booked, it would make sense for the company to now create Trios Titles.

Seeing the Super Kliq together or Jurassic Express with Christian Cage, it becomes clear that fans enjoy those matches. However, without titles, it is harder for audiences to connect with the matches, which is why investing in these titles would be smart.

6 Continue CM Punk vs. Eddie Kingston

CM Punk headbutts Eddie Kingston Cropped

The feud between CM Punk and Eddie Kingston has been fantastic to watch so far, with the two men bringing the best out of each other. Their match at Full Gear was simply just a huge brawl and audiences loved it, but there's no doubt they're capable of even more.

Adding a stipulation to their next match could be an excellent way of continuing the storyline, and it would be an excellent way of continuing to get the best out of CM Punk, who is now operating at a different gear thanks to Kingston.

5 Push MJF Into The Title Scene

MJF AEW

While his victory over Darby Allin came with controversy, it was another major win for MJF's career. It also saw his greatest performance to date in AEW, and it is clear that he is destined for much bigger things in wrestling, and it is now time for him to have a title run.

Right now there are two great babyface champions that he could challenge, and seeing him with either the TNT or the AEW World Championship would be brilliant. He could have some fantastic storylines with all the babyfaces in the company, which is something AEW should be considering at this stage.

4 Hold Off On Hangman vs. Danielson

Hangman Page as World Champion Cropped

Hangman Adam Page finally becoming AEW World Champion was an amazing moment and something that he has been working towards. But now he has to deal with Bryan Danielson as his first challenger, with the former WWE Superstar being incredibly popular and talented.

This could lead to a short title run for Hangman, which isn't what he deserves after such a brilliant build to get to this moment. That is why AEW should consider just delaying this dream match for a little while, for Page to continue building his momentum.

3 Jay Lethal vs. Miro

Jay Lethal makes his AEW debut Cropped

Jay Lethal was the big surprise at Full Gear, with the former Ring Of Honor World Champion being the latest man to join the AEW roster. While his first match will be for the TNT Championship, now is not the time to end Sammy Guevara's reign, especially to a newcomer.

However, seeing Lethal feud with Miro could be the right way to introduce him. Miro bringing out all of his aggression after losing against Bryan Danielson and taking it out on Lethal who wants the title that Miro lost is an easy storyline to work with, which would get the best out of both men.

2 Fresh Tag Team Title Storyline

Overall, the storyline between the Lucha Bros and FTR has been an enjoyable one, but at this point, it does feel like the time is right for something new. Seeing a fresh team brought into the mix for the titles would be beneficial, while FTR could still push on and continue their own work with the AAA Tag Team Titles.

Santana and Ortiz have yet to really be pushed in the tag team division, despite the fact they're one of the best duos on the planet. Therefore it would be nice to see them get a chance to have a serious run at the titles moving forwards.

1 Young Bucks Turn On Omega?

Adam Page The Elite

This is something that doesn't need to happen immediately, but AEW could have planted the seeds for a split between The Elite at Full Gear. The Young Bucks appeared in the main event and could have distracted or stopped Hangman Page from winning the AEW World Title, but they opted not to.

Both Matt and Nick Jackson stood and watched him deliver the final blow to win the match, giving him a respectful nod of approval. If AEW wanted to, this could certainly be built into a storyline, with the Bucks possibly focusing on work with Adam Cole.
