AEW's latest PPV is now in the history books, with Full Gear being one of the best shows that the company has ever put on. With some fantastic in-ring encounters, brilliant brawls, and epic title matches, the show did have something for everybody. As usual, the in-ring work was terrific and that is something that helped make the event easy to watch.

Each match flowed perfectly and while they all offered something slightly different, the wrestling on display was excellent to see. Every match was trying to top the other and that set up some of the best bouts in AEW's history.

9 The Inner Circle vs. American Top Team - Street Fight

Chris Jericho Cropped (1)

Despite the fact that this one was a street fight, the match randomly started out as a traditional tag team match, which didn't make sense. Things improved when they broke it down and got to the spots and weapons, but this type of carnage had already been seen earlier in the right.

There were certainly some rough spots throughout this one as well and a couple of timing errors, but that is the risk that is taken when there are non-wrestlers involved. There was plenty of exciting moments as well though, as it certainly wasn't a disaster, it just wasn't at the level that the rest of the card was.

8 Cody Rhodes & PAC vs. Malakai Black & Andrade El Idolo

This tag team match was in a tough spot following the carnage of the Falls Count Anywhere contest, but they were still able to make things work. There were a couple of sloppy moments at times and the fans totally hating Cody Rhodes didn't quite work with the story that they were trying to tell.

Of course, considering the talent involved from all four men, this was an enjoyable match overall. However, it wasn't able to be as strong as many of the other matches on the card, with this one not quite connecting overall.

7 Britt Baker (c) vs. Tay Conti - AEW Women's Championship Match

This was a good match that really got going within the final five minutes, with Tay Conti pulling out all of the stops in order to make this a great encounter. Her growth in wrestling is fantastic to see and that was clear within this match, putting together an amazing individual performance.

The story here was that the challenger threw everything that she had at Britt Baker, but she was just unable to put the champion down. Eventually, the numbers game caught up with her on the outside, with Baker managing to retain, with this hopefully not being the last time these women compete against one another.

6 Adam Cole & The Young Bucks vs. Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus, & Christian Cage - Falls Count Anywhere Match

This match was complete and utter chaos from start to finish. It wasn't about great technical wrestling in the same way that most AEW matches are. Instead, this was a fight with the six men all putting in fantastic performances with some innovative spots.

There was a variety of weapons used here, from tables to thumbtacks and everything that they did was able to get over with the crowd. Fans were taken on a brilliant journey throughout the match, with this one being a real rollercoaster of an encounter.

5 Lucha Bros (c) vs. FTR - AEW Tag Team Championship Match

Tag team wrestling is always frantic in AEW as that is the style that the company prefers and that was on full display here. While the rules weren't always being followed and a lot was going on because of that, this was a great match.

The four worked well together inside the ring and the fact that their styles are so unique helped this one connect as well as it did. It wasn't the best match of either team's career, but it was certainly fun.

4 Miro vs. Bryan Danielson

Because there was so much on the line with this match leading to a future World Title shot for the victor, audiences were able to get invested in this straight away. They put together a hard-hitting encounter with nice strikes from both men.

They took their time and built things slowly and that allowed for each of them to slowly push towards the finish. They gave each other everything they had and both men sold moves perfectly which allowed them to have an effective encounter.

3 Darby Allin vs. MJF

Two of the four pillars of AEW kicked things off at Full Gear, and they did so in style. This was a brilliant encounter with the two going back and forth in a match that featured some great near falls and very innovative spots, such as a Coffin Drop to the outside or a Tombstone Piledriver on the ring apron.

They were both able to look fantastic, with MJF's selling of the knee injury being excellently worked throughout the entire match. Having him win due to cheating works perfectly into his character and leaves audiences wanting more between them, which is always a good thing.

2 CM Punk vs. Eddie Kingston

While this wasn't a technical match, it was still brilliant. CM Punk and Eddie Kingston have done a great job building this one as a fight and that is what they delivered inside of the ring. It was hard-hitting, with the two men brawling around as much as possible.

The blood added a great deal to the story element and the passion that they both provided really was excellent. It's a unique match as it was more of a fight than a wrestling encounter, but that is what people wanted, with the emotion involved here being off the charts.

1 Kenny Omega (c) vs. Hangman Page - AEW World Title Match

Hangman Page as World Champion Cropped

This is the match the entire PPV was built around and there was certainly pressure on them to deliver. However, that is exactly what happened and they told a brilliant story throughout. The in-ring work and psychology was brilliant here, and having The Young Bucks accept Page's win was a great touch at the end.

They put in some fantastic spots both in and out of the ring, and some of the near falls were incredible. They had the audience hooked from the beginning and they created a fantastic feel-good moment to end the show, with this being a match nobody will forget.
