AEW's final pay-per-view of 2021 went off without a hitch! Full Gear delivered on almost all of its promises and was pure killer no filler.
Winner: MJF
MJF and Darby Allin, two of the "four pillars" of AEW, went one-on-one in a thrilling opener in which they both cemented their statuses as future megastars. In fact, one could argue that they're already there.
As you'd expect, it was an even contest for the vast majority of the match, with the two men exchanging moves and holds throughout. The chemistry was off the charts and contributed to a match that was so fluid it occasionally seemed rehearsed -- like, Steamboat/Savage rehearsed.
Before the match began, MJF forced Justin Roberts to announce him as "the man who could beat Darby Allin with a side headlock takeover," and that's exactly what happened. MJF brought Darby's skateboard into the ring and urged his opponent to hit him with it. Darby refused, and as referee Bryce Remsburg removed the skateboard, MJF removed the Dynamite Diamond Ring from his tights and clocked Darby right in the skull with it. He then hit Darby with a side headlock takeover into a pin for the 1-2-3.
An excellent opener with a brilliant finish that will keep the heat on MJF without damaging Darby too much. Easily MJF's best match in AEW.

Loser: Miro Let's Down His God Again
In what was arguably the best match of his AEW career, Miro was defeated by Bryan Danielson in the finals of the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament. Miro did well to make it as far as he did considering he only entered the tournament at the semi-final stage when he was brought in to replace Jon Moxley at the last minute.
Danielson's win streak continues, as does his streak of winning each match with a different submission. With his tournament victory, the American Dragon is now the number-one contender to the AEW World Championship.
Winner: Britt Baker Vs. Tay Conti
In what was, tragically, the only women's match on the card, Britt Baker successfully defended her AEW Women's Championship against Tay Conti in what was hands-down the best in-ring performance of Conti's entire career. The Brazillian fought valiantly, but couldn't get the job done against AEW's seemingly unbeatable women's champ.
Loser: Eddie Kingston
CM Punk defeated Eddie Kingston in an ugly (in a good way) match in which the two men beat the absolute crap out of each other. Kingston proved to be a far more formidable opponent than Punk had anticipated and it was Kingston who drew first blood.
With his face drenched in blood, Punk paid homage to both John Cena and Eddie Guerrero and got the win when he hit Kingston with a Go To Sleep. This feud only started a couple of weeks ago and was a masterclass in how to build to a hot match in a short amount of time.
Winner: Hangman Page
It finally happened! The era of cowboy sh*t has begun! Hangman ended Kenny Omega's reign as AEW World Champion in the main event. The match itself was great but it stopped short of exceeding expectations. Regardless, it was the culmination of long-term booking and patient, storytelling and it was damn-near perfect.
