Moxley tried his hand working in factories, restaurants, and other places too, though he was often seeing himself reprimanded or fired due to frequently missing his shifts in order to follow his other passions.

It is often hard to answer when someone poses the theoretical question of “what job would you do if you weren’t in your current job?” For Jon Moxley, he seemingly found it quite easy to answer this question.

Moxley stated that he would be a forest firefighter if his life had gone down a different path. This would certainly be one of the few professions that poses significantly more threat than professional wrestling, though it shows Moxley has a care for the environment.

Jon Moxley is a hugely unique individual, and he has several weird quirks to his personality that makes him different to everyone else. On her Sessions podcast, Renee Pacquette revealed that Moxley’s bed habits are a little odd.

Instead of either dressing down to the bare minimum or even wearing pajamas, Moxley often sleeps in just his clothes, often wearing jeans, cargo pants, or other uncomfortable wear. This is apparently down to the fact that he never knows when he might need to be dressed and ready in an emergency.

If Moxley sleeping in his clothes isn’t weird enough, his working out habits are just as peculiar. Most people who either use the gym or go on runs wearing running shoes, gym shorts, and other gym wear specifically designed to workout. For Moxley, he doesn’t wear any of that.

Fans will often see Moxley wearing big steel capped boots or other types of similar footwear, and this is what he works out in. Ergonomically, this doesn’t seem like the best idea, but it clearly works for him.

6 Drug Use In Early Life

Moxley’s early life seemed to be very tough. From street fights to stealing to arrests, it looked to be a survival of the fittest type of upbringing. Moxley unfortunately got into drug use in his younger life.

To cope with this way of life, Moxley would frequently use libraries as an escape, using reading and forms of media such as videos to get through his day to day youth.

5 Went To Rehab

Whether it stemmed from his childhood or the tough life on the road caused by being a professional wrestler, Moxley has used alcohol to get him through it. In 2021, he entered rehab to overcome and combat his demons.

Once returning from rehab, the difference in his appearance was striking, with him looking ten years younger and so much more healthier. It was wonderful to see him take his problems into his own hands and work hard to battle them.

4 Married To Renee Pacquette

Jon Moxley met Renee Pacquette due to their time working together, with them entering a relationship back in 2013, with them then getting married in 2017.

In 2021, the pair had a child together, called Nora. Moxley’s interview on Pacquette’s podcast is well worth a watch to see their wonderful dynamic and chemistry with one another.

3 Has A Small Acting Career

Many professional wrestlers have tried their hands in acting, and Jon Moxley is no different. He has appeared in two WWE Studios productions, with roles in both 12 Rounds 3: Lockdown, and Countdown, which also featured several other wrestlers too.

His next role came in 2020, with him appearing in Cagefighter: Worlds Collide. The film received good reviews, and it would also feature fellow professional wrestler, Christian Cage.

2 Has An Autobiography Published

With his love of books in his younger years, it is perhaps no surprise that Moxley decided to write an autobiography. His book, Mox, shares details about his life, revealing many elements of both his younger and later years.

This was released in 2021, coming out around the time that he entered rehab, with it likely to have been quite a hectic month for him and his family, especially with the recent birth of his daughter too.

1 Avoids Social Media

Many accounts of interactions with Moxley have shown that he isn’t the most outgoing individual, with he himself stating that he is more of a loner than someone who actively engages in socializing.

He has many times stated his reluctance to use social media, only doing so due to the necessities of having it due to his career. In all truth, it is probably for the best from a mental health perspective to steer clear of social media when given the chance, which is something Moxley has done all throughout his life, with his accounts being very inactive, with only the occasional promotional tweet or instagram post.
