AEW has put together a lot of memorable moments in their first few years as a company, from incredible matches to entertaining segments. They have kept fans happy as the business continues to grow, but there have been specific spots and moments that may have actually upset WWE in that time.

Moments that Vince McMahon and his team will have looked at and questioned due to a variety of reasons. From certain celebrity appearances or wrestlers making their appearances, there could have been some times when WWE will have been left feeling upset about things, which likely only enhanced the competition between them.

10 Snoop Dogg Wrestles

Snoop Dogg is someone who has a long history with WWE and is a celebrity that the company has used countless times over the years. From performing live to being in various segments or rapping Sasha Banks' entrance song, he has got a big connection with the company.

Snoop is a Hall Of Famer with WWE, but he didn't let that connection stop him from appearing in AEW. He hit one of the strangest Frog Splashes that has ever been seen in wrestling, but seeing someone that WWE works with a lot appear will probably have upset the company.

9 Mike Tyson's Appearances

Much like Snoop Dogg, Mike Tyson is a Hall Of Famer with WWE and somebody that the company has a major history with. Tyson's role in the Attitude Era is huge, and when it comes to celebrities in wrestling, few have made more of an impact.

Therefore, when Tyson ended up appearing in AEW, it would likely have come as a surprise to WWE and one that could have upset the company. Because he was such a big part of WWE it was a surprise to see him elsewhere, and that could have disappointed Vince McMahon.

8 Brodie Lee's Vince Spoof

When Brodie Lee first appeared in AEW he brought a character that was very clearly a spoof of Vince McMahon. It's rare that people completely mock Vince on television, but Brodie held nothing back in mocking the WWE Chairman and the things that are known about him.

It's something that got everybody talking in the wrestling world, but the fact it was openly mocking Vince himself, it would likely have upset WWE at the time, as a shot at the boss is always something that people could easily have disliked within the company.

Owen Hart Sharpshooter

Owen Hart obviously has a huge history with WWE and following his passing the company has worked hard to try and get a connection with his family in order to bring his name to the industry again. Fans have wanted a Hall Of Fame induction or to play as him in a video game, but that is now something that will happen with AEW.

Despite the fact that Hart obviously had nothing to do with AEW, Tony Khan was still able to make a deal to honor his legacy. This would no doubt have upset WWE as the company would have loved to be the ones that honored him.

6 Legends Move Across

Paul Wight in AEW

While seeing wrestlers in the prime of their careers move across to AEW such as Jon Moxley or Tay Conti will have been a surprise, it won't have upset WWE quite as much as the legends. The likes of Paul Wight and Mark Henry were seen as true company men that could be there for life.

This would no doubt have been disappointing for Vince McMahon to see, having people who Vince has spent years working with and getting to know and trust leave him to work for his competition would not have gone down well.

5 Having Fans Back First

Daily's Place With Fans

The pandemic era of wrestling was difficult for every wrestling company, with no fans in the arenas making the shows incredibly different. However, AEW was able to bring the fans back before WWE, which is something that will have probably upset WWE.

Vince McMahon is an incredibly competitive person so the fact that Tony Khan was able to beat him to such a big moment would no doubt have upset WWE as they like to dominate in every aspect.

4 Shaquille O'Neal Wrestles

Shaquille O'Neal in AEW Cropped

For years, WWE has been attempting to sign Shaquille O'Neal to compete against Big Show, but it never took place. However, Shaquille did work with WWE a lot, including a WrestleMania appearance, so his decision to cross to AEW would no doubt have been an unpopular one with WWE.

Loyalty goes far in the wrestling industry and while celebrities obviously don't have the same connection, it would still have been a shock to WWE and a situation that the company would not have been pleased about.

3 Destroying NXT In The Ratings

AEW star Chris Jericho believes Vince McMahon had a grudge against NXT for losing the Wednesday night wars to AEW

At first when AEW was launched most people thought that the war would be between NXT and Dynamite, which wasn't really the case as AEW dominated the ratings so much that WWE had to move the day of NXT, which was certainly an embarrassing situation.

The loss of the Wednesday Night Wars is something that would have upset WWE, particularly Triple H who would have really pushed his roster to bring the competition against them, which they then completely failed on.

2 CM Punk Returns To Wrestling

CM Punk AEW Debut

AEW has brought a lot of wrestlers in from WWE recently, but the fact that the company was able to bring CM Punk back to the industry is likely something that would have upset WWE. While things didn't end well between Punk and WWE, there's no doubt that they'd have happily brought him back.

Because of the fact they were unable to sign Punk but AEW managed to do it is something that would have shocked the company and could easily have been disappointed and upset not to see him return to WWE.

1 Bryan Danielson Appears

bryan danielson

While not signing CM Punk is something that would have upset WWE, seeing Bryan Danielson join the company would have no doubt upset Vince McMahon and the rest of the company more. He is beloved by WWE and it was clear that Bryan and Vince have a great relationship.

The company really tried hard to keep him, therefore having him choose to walk away and wrestle for AEW instead, it would have been a big shot for the company. AEW were able to lure him across, and that would have certainly upset those in WWE.
