This week, AEW’s Rampage was a taped episode from Milwaukee, and served as the final go home show before AEWxNJPW present Forbidden Door this Sunday. Rampage featured HOOK’s open challenge to New Japan’s Young Lions, Cash Wheeler one-on-one with United Empire Jeff Cobb ahead of the winner-take-all three way tag match, as well as a barn burner between Andrade El Idolo & Rey Fenix that also happened to feature the TV Debut of RUSH.

Winner: Andrade El Idolo

In a follow up to the Battle Royale on dynamite a few weeks ago that served as one of the Interim AEW Championship eliminators, that saw Andrade low-blowing Fenix before eliminating him. Fenix & Andrade once again tour the house down. Despite some detractors early on, Andrade truly hasn’t had bad outing inside the ring on AEW Television since his arrival. To the surprise of absolutely nobody who saw Fenix and Andrade’s interactions in said Battle Royale, the chemistry of these two men was once again enough to make this a match worth seeking out. Andrade also got to see his blood make their AEW TV debut, when former ROH World Champion RUSH came out and helped his brother secure the victory. Also the two revealed a pair of La Faccion Ingobernable shirts before taking Fenix’s mask.

Loser: Chris Jericho’s “Coward” Blood

Jericho may have been a loser this week when it came to the final encounter with Eddie Kingston, but its the blood he will lose next week in Detroit that should be far more concerning. With Kingston setting out to taste the Wizard’s blood, it is safe to say Jericho has been put on notice. Not only was he stabbed, not only are people threatening to make him blee d his own blood, but Jericho doesn;t even know the complete team Kingston is bringing to Blood & Guts.

Winner: Mercedes Martinez & Serena Deeb

The unlikely alliance of SHIMMER legends of Serena Deeb and current ROH Women’s World Champion Mercedes Martinez made their AEW debut as a team in an impressive outing against young guns Sierra & Laynie Luck. The game of one ups-manship continued, as did the miscommunication between the two featuring the pair colliding on a few different spots. The build to a future ROH Women’s World Championship match continues, and should be great when it finally arrives.

Loser: The DKC

After an open challenge to the young lions of New Japan, it was THE DKC from New Japan’s LA Dojo that would step up to the challenge. He was, however, unsuccessfully in earning a victory for the LA Dojo. HOOK was able to make quick work of the DKC, per usual for anyone who has been across the ring from HOOK since he debuted for AEW. It was announced however that The DKC will also be featured on this weekends Buy-In before Forbidden Door.

Winner: Jeff Cobb

After nothing but losses for the United Empire in AEW in the weeks leading up to Forbidden Door, Cobb is able to bring home a victory for his team and bring some momentum into the big AEWxNJPW supershow. Cobb was able to pin one half of the ROH & AAA Tag Team Champions. If Cobb can do that this weekend it will see him & Greath O’Khan addingh the ROG Tag Team Champopnships to their collection that also feature the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship. The match was suprisingly even despite Cobb being much more experienced as a singles competitor throughout his career. Both men looked good and the Three Way Winner Take All Tag match appears to be one of the more hyped matchups leading into the PPV.
