Throughout its short history, All Elite Wrestling has always featured amazing six-man tag team matches, with chaotic sequences and unbelievable spots. Then, someone had the brilliant idea to create the Trios Titles, and crown the champions with a tournament.

The AEW Trios Tournament was a success, as fans saw tremendous teams in action and spectacular matches. The Elite went through three acid tests, winning all three matches and becoming the first ever Trios Champions. Perhaps the champions were never in doubt, but still, each match had its own excitement and drama. So, without further ado, let's take a look at every AEW trios tournament match, ranked worst to best.

7 The Dark Order Vs. The House Of Black

The Dark Order Vs. The House Of Black

This was undoubtedly the worst match of the AEW trios tournament, although it really wasn't that bad. The in-ring action was solid, the pace was fast, and the match was chaotic, with action all over the place. Every man involved played his part, especially Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews, who looked powerful during the match. However, it didn't make much sense for The House Of Black to lose this match, and the finish left a lot to be desired, with Miro costing The House Of Black the match. It's understandable that Tony Khan wanted Adam Page to face The Elite in the finals, but there were better ways to book this match.

6 Best Friends & Orange Cassidy Vs. Trustbusters

Best Friends & Orange Cassidy

In the first round of the tournament, Ari Daivari, Parker Boudreaux, and Slim J faced off against Trent Beretta, Chuck Taylor, and Orange Cassidy. This match was quite entertaining, perhaps better than many fans expected. Slim J was the MVP, having an excellent performance, while Best Friends were very good too. On the other hand, Daivari and Boudreaux had lackluster performances. Overall, it was a solid match, which saw Best Friends and Orange Cassidy win after 10 minutes.

5 John Silver, Alex Reynolds & Adam Page Vs. Best Friends & Orange Cassidy

This was a great match, with moments of comedy and moments of drama as well. It was certainly predictable that Adam Page and his friends John Silver and Alex Reynolds would win, but Best Friends and Orange Cassidy showed good offense and got a couple of exciting near falls. This was a short, fast-paced match with great sequences and cool spots, just what you would expect from a trios match. Every man involved played his part, and the story was told to perfection.

4 The Elite Vs. La Faccion Ingobernable

Adam Page refused to compete in the tournament alongside The Young Bucks, so Nick and Matt had to find a partner, and they decided to call none other than Kenny Omega, who made his long-awaited return after a nine-month absence. Obviously, the fans went wild for Omega's return, so the match had a great atmosphere. Omega was clearly not in 100% condition, but he still did an excellent job, as did The Young Bucks. Andrade El Idolo, Dragon Lee, and Rush were great as well, and the match turned out to be awesome. The match ended after 20 minutes when Kenny Omega hit the One Winged Angel on Lee for the win.

3 The Elite Vs. John Silver, Alex Reynolds & Adam Page

The Elite Trios Champions

This was the final of the AEW Trios Tournament, and it didn't disappoint at all, although admittedly the match was pretty predictable, as there was no way The Elite wasn't going to win the Trios Titles. Adam Page and The Elite have a long history together, and it seems that Hangman shows compassion at times, especially towards The Young Bucks, but between Omega and Page it seems that there’s no love lost, and it was obvious that Omega wanted revenge after Page dethroned him last year.

So, the storytelling was top-notch, and the match was very good overall, with good spots, good sequences, and a good finish, with Adam Page accidentally hitting his Buckshot Lariat on John Silver, and Omega capitalizing by making the cover for the win. If there is a team that can give immediate prestige to the titles, it is The Elite.

2 The Elite Vs. Will Ospreay & Aussie Open

Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay

It was a tremendous match from start to finish, with very good sequences and a couple of beautiful spots. The spotlight was mainly on Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay, who are two of the best wrestlers of this century, and who apparently hate each other in real life.

Both Kenny and Will had flawless performances, as usual, while The Young Bucks shined with their high-flying spots. Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis had solid performances but were overshadowed. After nearly 19 exciting minutes, The Elite won the match. Perhaps this match should have been the final of the tournament at All Out.

1 Will Ospreay & Aussie Open Vs. Death Triangle

The best match of the AEW Trios tournament was The United Empire versus Death Triangle. In fact, this match received a 5-star rating from Dave Meltzer. This was an insane battle, with amazing performances from every man involved, especially Will Ospreay, who is arguably the best wrestler in the world right now.

Ospreay even managed to overshadow Rey Fenix and Penta Oscuro, who always put on a phenomenal show. The in-ring action was terrific, fast-paced, with super complex spots perfectly executed. There were dangerous spots and risk-taking maneuvers, but these men made it look easy. This match reflected what the Trios action is all about.
