There are plenty of great wrestlers in AEW, with in-ring quality being at the forefront of weekly television. However, despite having tremendous performers, not everyone is the full package, at least not yet. Therefore, to capitalize on some wrestlers who aren’t the best on the microphone, or those who are still inexperienced, managers should be utilized.

Several names in AEW already have managers by their side, with the company not shying away from giving their stars mouthpieces. However, this is something that should be implemented even more throughout the roster.

10 Andrade El Idolo

Andrade’s time in AEW has been a failure thus far, with him not able to find any sort of momentum. While his promo work is decent, he hasn’t been able to captivate the audience. Both Vickie and Chavo Guerrero were failed choices at a mouthpiece, and Jose is simply an assistant, so AEW should continue to find a fit.

Andrade looks to have aligned with long-time partner, Rush, with a move into the tag team division being a strong possibility. However, if Andrade wants to climb the card in the future as a singles star, then he undoubtedly needs a manager by his side.

9 Lee Moriarty

Moriarty is an example of a young talent on the roster who doesn’t quite have the “it” factor just yet, with him not getting much opportunity to improve his overall skillset behind the microphone. An easily conceivable direction could see him joining the Blackpool Combat Club, as having William Regal by his side would no doubt be a huge benefit.

Having great talkers around him has already aided Wheeler Yuta’s standing in AEW, and the same could happen for Moriarty if he joins the group down the line.

8 Abadon

Abadon With Her Zombie Gimmick

Despite a few entertaining matches, Abadon has become one of the more forgotten about names in AEW, barely ever appearing on TV. However, with the uniqueness of the gimmick, there is some potential there to make something of the character.

However, this can’t be done alone, as Abadon needs someone equally as spooky for her promos. Due to Abadon being a character which doesn’t speak, it will always be difficult for her to survive during TV feuds, so having someone cutting promos by her side would help to raise her overall presence, and to perhaps gives some context and background to the gimmick.

7 The Butcher

The Butcher and The Blade Cropped

Although the Butcher and Blade are a solid team, there are clearly no plans in store for them to rise up the card. However, The Butcher has such a presence and unique look that AEW would be foolish to not eventually utilise him more.

There is a lot of potential in a monster singles run for The Butcher, and it would be very effective if he had a manager, keeping him as a silent monster, which would provide an even scarier aura around him.

6 Anthony Ogogo

During his feud with Cody Rhodes, Anthony Ogogo proved himself able to cut a decent promo, but he isn’t overly polished yet. Although QT Marshall does a solid job as the leader of The Factory, there is a clear ceiling for the faction.

Ogogo needs a manager who can hype him up in the way Paul Heyman used to do so for Brock Lesnar, making him feel like a dominant and scary force due to his legitimate fighting background.

5 Serena Deeb

Serena Deeb

Deeb is one of the best technicians in AEW, with her showcasing time and time again just how great of a wrestler she is. However, one thing has held her back in AEW, and that is her promo work. Whilst she isn’t bad by any means, she doesn’t quite have the quality in order for her to reach World Title gold.

That is where a manager would come in handy, or even a move to the Blackpool Combat Club, where William Regal would be a perfect fit to work alongside her, aiding with back-and-forth segments.

4 Dante Martin

Dante Martin during a tag team bout

Dante Martin has proven to be one of the most promising names in AEW, with the young star often stealing the show whenever he is on it. His promo work thus far has consisted of simple and to the point content, but he has yet to develop a proper character or personality.

Having a talented promo worker to sit alongside would not only help him to learn, but it would also open the door for more opportunities, and perhaps feuds against bigger stars, because as of right now, he wouldn’t be able to carry himself against a top name on his own.

3 Bear Country

Bear Country have been a part of AEW for some time now but have yet to do anything of note in the company. They are consistent members of AEW’s YouTube shows, but haven’t found any momentum on TV, even though they have an impressive size.

Perhaps changing up their gimmick, turning heel, and having a manager would make them feel like a throwback monster heel tag team, which is something that AEW’s tag division is currently lacking.

2 Leyla Hirsch

Leyla Hirsch has already proven herself to be a strong in-ring worker, being effective as both a heel and a babyface. However, despite impressive performances, she hasn’t managed to stand out too much, with her not having much momentum.

With her impressive skillset, all she needs to take her up a level is someone to hype her up as the talent that she is. She would no doubt benefit from being a silent killer whilst someone else does her talking for her.

1 Preston Vance

Preston Vance

Although it could be argued that the Dark Order should remain together in AEW, the company are unfortunately not doing much with the faction. Preston “10” Vance is someone who looked to become a big deal early on in his Dark Order run but has yet to break out.

With an impressive look, size, speed, and strength, he has the potential to be a big star, but not under a mask in the Dark Order. Even if it is just an amicable split, Vance should be given a manager and be set on a singles path down the line.
