"Hi, I'm Darby Allin, Welcome to Jackass!"
All Elite Wrestling star Darby Allin will get take his daredevil antics to the silver screen when he links up with Johnny Knoxville and the rest of the Jackass crew for their upcoming movie Jackass 4.
Allin's role in the movie was confirmed via its IMDB page, on which he listed as an official member of the cast.
The former TNT Champion mentioned the possibility of appearing in Jackass 4 during an appearance on the Endless Hustle podcast back in January.
"I've talked to people and I'm like, 'If this happens, I have to have time off.' Not only is this going to help the brand of AEW and pop culture, it's going to help my mind. It's a bucket list thing, for sure," Allin said. "I've talked to Steve-O about it. Everything is so crazy with Covid that they can't even start filming. They were a week or two into filming when it got shut down and now they've been holding it off."
Darby Allin is no stranger to high-risk stunts, and his love of skateboarding is well known. As you might recall, Allin crowned legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk an honorary TNT Champion back in March.
Principal photography on Jackass 4 commenced on December 14, 2020, but was delayed several times due to injuries sustained by Steve-O and Johnny Knoxville, who were both hospitalized.
The Jackass franchise began life as MTV show featuring a group of daredevil pranksters who filmed themselves executing elaborate stunts and wacky practical jokes. The first Jackass movie was released in 2002 after the MTV series had ended.
As a wrestler, Darby Allin is renowned for daredevil antics and his willingness to participate in high-risk stunts. His body seems to be capable of enduring massive amounts of pain and damage, which makes him the perfect fit for a Jackass movie.
Jackass 4 is scheduled to be theatrically released on October 22, 2021.
