Cash Wheeler is reportedly doing okay after a fall in his tag match on Dynamite resulted in a very nasty cut to his arm.

AEW has not been afraid to shy away from blood and violence, even on Dynamite where some might assume TNT would have asked for that sort of thing to be toned down. Last week's main event on Dynamite was a Texas Deathmatch between Jon Moxley and Lance Archer, and this week Chris Jericho closed the show against deathmatch legend Nick Gage.

Wheeler Injured

There was actually an inadvertently bloody moment earlier on in the night this week on Dynamite. In fact, it was probably the last match on the show that you would have expected to see that sort of thing. FTR versus Santana and Ortiz. The injury suffered by Cash Wheeler was such a scary one that the match seemed to be stopped earlier than planned.

Most fans would have likely missed the moment Wheeler got hurt. After being shoved off the top rope, the former WWE Tag Team Champion appears to catch his arm on the metal between the ropes and the turnbuckle. Wheeler then lands on the apron and can be seen immediately grabbing his arm and appears to be in a lot of pain.

Match Ended Early

In the clip above you can see a nasty cut on Wheeler's arm as he clutches it. According to PWInsider, Wheeler was treated straight away and is doing okay following the incident. It's unclear right now whether Wheeler will miss any time with the injury. Hopefully, the size of the cut and the bleeding made the injury look a lot worse than it actually is and nothing more than cosmetic damage was done to Wheeler's arm.

As for the match itself, it appeared to come to a premature end after the injury. Shortly after Wheeler retreated to the ringside area so officials could check on him, Dax Harwood won the match in the ring rather suddenly which suggests it wasn't the planned finish. Santana, Ortiz, and Konnan then remained in the ring, presumably so the cameras stayed on them until Wheeler was taken back to the locker room.
