When asked if he would come back for one more match against Kenny Omega, Kurt Angle joked that he would, but it'll cost whoever wants to make it happen.

Kurt Angle's legendary career came to an end at WrestleMania 35 against Baron Corbin. Not the ending fans wanted, and also not the one Angle himself would have liked which he has admitted since. The obvious choice appeared to be a match against John Cena. Cena made his WWE debut against Angle in 2002. Sadly, that wasn't to be.

Kurt Angle vs. Kenny Omega

Angle wrestled for more than 20 years across multiple promotions which means there aren't many people he didn't get to wrestle during that time. One match that has been left on the table following his retirement is one against Kenny Omega. Angle recently discussed the possibility of the two clashing someday, joking that it would cost someone a lot of money.

"If they paid me $10 million, I would do one more match. I'll wrestle Kenny for $10 million," Angle said on his podcast, The Kurt Angle Show. By they, Angle is presumably referring to Tony Khan. The gold medalist also revealed recently that Khan actually did try and get him to come wrestle in AEW, and while flattered by the offer, Angle turned it down due to the state his body is in.

Angle Does Not Want To Be All Elite

Impact, where Angle wrestled for a large chunk of his career, has also approached the Hall of Famer since he left WWE. However, Angle revealed he didn't even entertain the promotion's offer. Hard to argue with as there isn't really anyone there Angle would like to face who he hasn't wrestled already. AEW, on the other hand, must have been a harder deal to say no to.

It's a shame Angle's final run in WWE wasn't more memorable. His night as an honorary member of The Shield was a lot of fun, as was his match alongside Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania. It didn't include the singles matches some fans were expecting, though. Since Angle turned down the chance to compete in AEW because of how his body feels, perhaps WWE was simply looking out for him.
