WWE hired legendary indie stalwart Allison Danger as a coach back in October 2021. Danger -- who was based in Las Vegas prior to being signed -- packed up her life and moved across the country to join her real-life brother Steve Corino on the Performance Center coaching team ... a few months later, she was unemployed.Danger (real name Cathy Corino) opened up about her tumultuous WWE departure during a chat with fellow-former WWE employee Renee Paquette on a recent edition of Paquette's podcast The Sessions.

They said it wasn’t my fault, there was nothing I did wrong,” Danger said, recalling the moment she found she was being let go. Danger said that days before being released, she had received a message from a WWE higher-up in which the Performance Center coaching crew was praised for its work. After being informed that she had been fired, Danger said she was told that she would be re-hired "in a heartbeat" if an opportunity came up ... something that is yet to come to fruition.

Danger recalled her first Christmas down in Orlando, which she experienced while suffering from a case of Covid-19 she contracted during a WWE tryout session. "And then I’m back to work three days, and that’s it," she told Paquette. "I feel like I got brought to Florida and then left to die, because now my family’s split, we’re struggling through that. I’m still now five months out and nothing to show for it, and I still have no idea what I’m going to do. This has been a rock bottom year.”

Danger was released by WWE back in January, around the same time that veteran PC coaches William Regal and Road Dogg were also laid off.

Throughout her 13-year in-ring career, Danger had noteworthy stints with Ring Of Honor and Shimmer, as well as multiple independent promotions. She retired in 2013.
