This year's Royal Rumble is almost upon us, and both of the matches after which the event is named are starting to fill up. There are 60 spots across both matches up for grabs, and while many entrants have been announced ahead of time, some will be left as surprises. Some of those surprises make it out into the WWE Universe though and become rumors, such as Ronda Rousey who might well return this Saturday.
The Return Of Bad Bunny
Another entrant that could make their WWE return at Royal Rumble is Bad Bunny. Initially reported by Ringside News (H/T Wrestling Inc.), the singer will reportedly be one of the 30 entrants into the men's match this weekend. Bad Bunny was a staple in WWE last year, putting on what was a pretty incredible performance alongside Damian Priest at WrestleMania.
WWE reminded fans of that this past Monday on Raw by advertising Bad Bunny's upcoming world tour. There was no mention of a potential return though which seems odd if the rapper will indeed be in the Rumble this Saturday. Since fans took such a shine to Bad Bunny for the work he put in during his short run last year, perhaps WWE was hopeful his appearance would remain a surprise and Bad Bunny would get a nice reaction from the crowd.
Two Spots For Celebrities
If Bad Bunny is going to be in the men's Rumble this Saturday, that means two of the entrants in the match will be non-wrestlers. Johnny Knoxville will also be in the match, declaring himself before any WWE Superstar had the chance to do so. Knoxville is part of the match to hype his new movie Jackass Forever and has been embroiled in a rivalry with Sami Zayn for the last few weeks.
Two celebrities in one Rumble might not go down well with a lot of fans. On the bright side, both offer very different skill sets. Knoxville will presumably be performing some sort of painful-looking stunt, while Bad Bunny, if he is in the match, will be there to remind fans he can perform a pretty great-looking Canadian Destoryer. Priest will also be in the match, so maybe the two of them will reconnect.
