10 Learning From An Extreme Legend

Baron Corbin initially debuted in NXT after some time in the Performance Center following his football career, and he was used regularly on the black and gold brand as a top heel. After dominating a feud against Bull Dempsey, Corbin got his biggest opportunity in NXT, which came alongside Rhyno.

The ECW legend went to NXT to add his experience, and that led him to Corbin. The two men competed against each other, and eventually became tag team partners, which was no doubt a great learning experience on how to work as a powerhouse for Corbin.

9 An Impactful Debut

Few wrestlers get the opportunity to make their main roster debuts in WWE at WrestleMania, but that was the case for Baron Corbin back in 2016. He was thrown into the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, and he surprised everybody by being the man who won that match.

From then on he hasn't looked back, and he instantly went into a feud with Dolph Ziggler, who was the ideal opponent to get him used to life on the main roster, with the two men having some entertaining matches together.

8 Feuding With Dean Ambrose

After finding his feet on the main roster, WWE decided to commit to pushing Baron Corbin as a featured heel in the company, which included a feud against Dean Ambrose. At the time, the former Shield man was the Intercontinental Champion, making it a solid starting point for Corbin.

It led to him competing at WrestleMania 33 against Ambrose, with the men going back and forth in a competitive encounter. In the end, it was Ambrose that came out on top in this storyline, but it was another step forward for Corbin.

7 Mr. Money In The Bank

Baron Corbin's journey to the top of the card continued in 2017 when he was able to become Mr. Money In The Bank, which most people presumed would lead to him becoming a World Champion. He was a great selection for winning the briefcase due to his ability as a heel, but he ended up failing with his cash in.

Corbin cashed in during a match between John Cena and Jinder Mahal, and fans got behind him at this point due to Mahal not being a popular WWE Champion. However, a distraction from Cena ultimately led to him failing to pick up a win with the briefcase.

6 United States Champion

Baron Corbin may not have been able to become the World Champion, but it wasn't soon after his failed cash-in that he finally held gold in WWE by winning the United States Title. He defeated AJ Styles to earn his first championship in the company, and that helped step him up as a top name once again.

His run as champion was an entertaining one as far as being a heel, and he easily proved that he was more than capable of being a champion in the company, which will no doubt not be the final time he wins the title.

5 Constable Corbin

Because Baron Corbin is a natural heat magnet, it made perfect sense for him to end up in a position of power in 2018 when Stephanie McMahon made him the Constable of Monday Night Raw. It was a great spot for him to be in as it allowed Corbin to thrive on the microphone.

He abused his power throughout, which was not a surprise as it allowed him to tap into his ability as a heel. During this time he worked against the likes of Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman, but it was all about the character over the in-ring work here.

4 Retiring Kurt Angle

During his time having an element of power on Monday Night Raw, Baron Corbin ended up feuding with WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle. He took it upon himself to embarrass the Olympic Gold medalist as much as possible, making his life a misery which led to them competing at WrestleMania 35.

Here, Corbin picked up one of the biggest victories of his entire career by defeating Angle in what was his final ever wrestling match. It was a huge bragging point for him as a heel, and that was something he was able to push throughout his career at that point.

3 King Corbin

Moving on from his feud against Kurt Angle, WWE decided to bring back the King of the Ring tournament, which ended up being won by Baron Corbin. Of course with his ability as a heel, he took that to the extreme and pushed the character heavily as a regular part of the product.

He was a top heel at that point, which allowed him to feud against Roman Reigns for a lengthy period, although that ended up being a storyline that fans did not enjoy, with the focal point being all around covering each other in dog food.

Baron Corbin's career then took a big change as he began to push the idea that he was broke and had zero money, which was something he dove fully into. Corbin showcased why he's one of the most talented men in the company by going all into this character, from letting his hair and beard grow out, while he wore the same clothes that had food stains.

It was a true commitment to a character that showed his ability to dive into a gimmick rather than just focusing on the in-ring aspect, which is what makes Corbin such a good star. His segments were hilarious, and it ended up being a character that people were excited to see regularly.

After spending time at the bottom of the barrel as a character, Baron Corbin once again transitioned after he won big in Las Vegas, which saw him take a complete shift. This was the birth of the Happy Corbin character, where he has once again shown his ability to adapt and change with the times.

He began wearing fancy clothes, driving nice cars, and constantly smiling which got under people's skin. He brought Madcap Moss alongside him and began feuding with Drew McIntyre until his partner turned, with Corbin since feuding with Madcap himself.
