15 Photos These New York Yankees Would Rather Keep Private

Privacy is a vital thing in this world. It is the only time when we can be by ourselves, sit back, and self-reflect on everything that goes on in our lives. Sometimes, there are instances where our privacy is violated and we can no longer trust anybody around us, even the ones closest to us. Look at ESPN reporter Erin Andrews. She was in her hotel, minding her own business while taking a hot, steaming shower. Some pervert decided to be a peeping tom and look right into her shower to get a view of the sexy, naked body that is Andrews. Now while it is probably a heavenly sight to behold, it is still a major violation in invasion of privacy. All athletes have those photos or secrets that they will take to their grave. But sometimes, secrets build up and then it is in the organization's hands to try and keep all them contained.

The New York Yankees have won the most World Series championships in baseball. They also have one of the strictest sets of rules and have to uphold the most set of standards out of anyone. The clean shaven facial hair and the cameras in the locker room are only a few of the craziest rules/regulations they have to follow. While they do have a pretty good reputation, they do have their faults and some secrets are meant to be revealed. This list takes a look at some of the most dire and juicy photos that the New York Yankees wish could have been kept private. So without further adieu, let's slide into the 15 photos that the New York Yankees wish they could have kept private,.

15 Roger Clemens at the Mitchell Report Investigation

via si.com

Leading it off for photos the Yankees would like to keep private comes from the man that was once "The Rocket". He had an explosive fastball and wipe-out split finger fastball that would drop at a moment's notice. He had over 300 wins, 4,500 strikeouts, and should no doubt be in the Hall of Fame. That man is Roger Clemens.

Clemens was a force on the mound along with Andy Pettitte to form a dynamic duo with the Yankees. After his playing career, he was featured in the Mitchell report as one of the players in the MLB that used steroids. Here, we see a photo of Clemens testifying in court for his name to not be associated with the term, "steroid user". The Yankees like to keep a squeaky clean image if possible. They try not to associate with liars, cheaters, or abusers; but every team has their exceptions. Clemens had all of the talent on the field, but do fans maybe think that was because he had a little extra boost to his energy? We can only speculate at this point.

14 Jeter On The Beach

via twitter.com

This is the first of many photos for this Yankee legend that he would like to keep private. Derek Jeter did everything while he was with the Yankees. He won multiple World Series rings, garnered many All-Star game appearances, served as team captain, and was one of the few professional athletes that spent his entire career with one sports organization. Jeter now has a role in the front office of the Miami Marlins. Besides his success in baseball, he also had success off of the diamond as well.

Jeter lived the single life for a very long time before eventually settling down with Hannah Davis. Jeter even dated celebrities such as Tyra Banks, Jessica Biel, and Jessica Alba just to name a few. The picture above shows Jeter enjoying a nice day on the beach with three bikini wearing women posing for a picture. On the surface, it doesn't look so bad considering Jeter was younger and single. But this is a photo he probably would want down so Hannah doesn't question whether he is a changed and committed man or secretly still wanting to be a bachelor on the prowl.

13 Aroldis Chapman's Old Flame?

via blacksportsonline.com

This story's a little puzzling. Aroldis Chapman has a troubled past, which included serious charges of domestic violence. However about five years ago, while he was still pitching for the Reds, another story emerged. Chapman was staying in Pittsburgh with his girlfriend when a robbery occurred in the hotel room the two were staying at. The woman he was seeing, Claudia Manrique said she was sitting in her room when a man knocked on her door, posing as a maintenance worker and forced his way into the room.

It turned out Manrique was married and after she was brought to the police station for questioning, her husband picked her up. Chapman was not at fault in the robbery but the fact that his girlfriend's secret was revealed had to be embarrassing.

12 What's That On Michael Pineda's Neck?

via empiresports.com

Michael Pineda was a pitcher for the Yankees who was known for using pine tar to get a better grip of the baseball. The Red Sox called out Pineda for doing it in a game at Yankee Stadium in early April of 2014. Pineda was warned but not ejected. A few weeks later, the Yankees and Red Sox met again for a Sunday Night Baseball showdown which had Pineda on the mound for the Yankees. Red Sox manager John Farrell asked the umpires to check Pineda's neck in the bottom of the 2nd inning. They found the pine tar on his neck and was immediately ejected from the game. The photo above shows the umpires catching Pineda sticky handed.

The fact that Pineda did this twice is amazing, considering how fans would have thought he had learned his lesson the first time from using it. This photo will always be linked to Michael Pineda and the Yankees, and this is probably one they want to put in the drawer and forget the world remembered.

11 Alex and Torrie...Enjoying a Vacation?

via dailymail.co.uk

Let's switch form Yankees shortstop to Yankees third baseman for this next photo wanted to be kept private.

A-Rod like Derek Jeter was a big fan of living the bachelor life. He dated a well-known list of celebrities as well from Cameron Diaz, to Kate Hudson, to Madonna, to Torrie Wilson. In fact, the press decided to get a nice little photo of the two of them on vacation. First off, they don't even look like they were having fun on this vacation based on their facial expressions. Second, professional athletes like to have some privacy themselves. Unfortunately, with cell phones on cameras now a days; anybody can get a snapshot of their favorite professional athlete if the timing is right. A-Rod and Torrie probably just wanted a nice vacation away and they couldn't get that. Plus, look at Torrie Wilson's abs; just incredible how great of shape she is in. This is probably one photo A-Rod wishes didn't make its way to the internet.

10 Mike Mussina Out on the Town

via blogger.com

This next Yankee pitcher decided to go out on the town one night. It is common after all. Pitch a big game, get dressed and take a shower, and then go out afterwards and enjoy yourself a bit. Well, this guy decided to enjoy himself maybe a little bit too much. Based on his photo here, he definitely had a good time and that's all that matters at the end of the day.

Mike "The Moose" Mussina had a very good 18 year career with the Baltimore Orioles and the New York Yankees. He was a five time All-Star and he was considered for the CY Young award multiple times. He won over 100 games for the Yankees and 270 total before he hung up his cleats for good in 2008. He is wearing a white collared shirt and jeans here with two ladies posing for a photo. Based on his eyes in this photo, he might have had a few too many to drink.

This is one night Mussina looks back on and either laughs, puts his head down in disgust, or simply doesn't remember. Whichever way he interprets it, the Yankees interpret this as unacceptable and wish they could take it down as fast as possible.

9 Derek Jeter's Rookie Year Photo

via sportsdatabase.com

Some of us just do not take great photos. Remember at picture day when you tried to find the perfect outfit and smile just the right amount so it doesn't look like you were trying so hard? Those were the good old days. The good old days for Derek Jeter might not have been the greatest picture wise. In fact, I am willing to bet this photo is one that he wishes was only on his refrigerator at home.

This picture shows Jeter's rookie year picture from 1992. As you can see, Jeter was a really skinny kid growing up. His arms look nowhere near as toned as he did in the later part of his career. That can be credited to the Yankees strength and conditioning staff for coming up with a weight lifting program and full diet plan to help bulk Jeter up. Jeter has done well for himself since that first year and now looks to turn the Miami Marlins from lovable losers into a winning team like in 1997 and 2003. Jeter has definitely taken some better photos as the year went on, but this one not so much. I bet Hannah would love to take this down and keep it as a personal gift for herself to remind her of the man she is married to.

8 C.C. Enjoying A Cold One

via twitter.com

At the end of the day, professional athletes are just like us. They have problems that sometimes are larger than we realize. Being an alcoholic is one of the toughest things to overcome. This guy seems to be doing a great job of beating the odds, but that doesn't mean a photo won't surface of him drinking a cold one.

C.C. Sabathia has been one of the more dominant left handed pitchers in baseball since he arrived with the Cleveland Indians in 2001. He certainly made a statement this year that age is just a number at age 36, going 14-5 with a 3.69 ERA; but still helping the Yankees come within one game of the World Series this year. He was caught up on hard times in 2015 when he admitted he was going into rehab for his alcohol related problems. It takes a man to admit when he needs help, so we commend C.C. for what he did. The Yankees probably want this photo private because he has progressed so much in a few seasons and it could serve as a reminder to Sabathia of what he once was.

7 Aaron Judge's New Girlfriend?

via tmz.com

Aaron Judge just completed a monster season. It was his first full season in the majors and he quickly made a name for himself, knocking 52 home runs, driving in 114 runs and batting .284. He's going to be a cornerstone of the Yankees for years to come and he's basically going to own New York City. However, recently TMZ spotted Judge walking about with a woman on his arm named Jen Flaum. Flaum is a recent graduate of the University of Michigan and a big Yankees fan. They were spotted leaving Nobu in NYC recently after about a month since they were seen together at the U.S. Open. They haven't confirmed the relationship so you'd have to think they didn't want to be seen here.

6 Allegations Against Aroldis Chapman

via tmz.com

Aroldis Chapman was one of the most despised men in baseball when this story first broke. Due to a late October incident in 2015, a trade from the Reds to the Dodgers was nixed due to Chapman being suspended 30 games for violation of the MLB's domestic abuse policy. Chapman was accused of firing eight gun shots into the air in his garage at his Davie, Florida home and was accused of choking his girlfriend. Chapman admitted to firing the gun, but denied choking his girlfriend. Police observed his girlfriend and found no marks or evidence that Chapman had touched her.

"I'm apologizing because of the use of the gun,” Chapman said, according to NJ.com. “It was bad judgment on my part. But I also want to say that I never hurt my girlfriend. I want this to be very clear."

Chapman began the 2016 season with the Yankees, before being traded to the Cubs, then signing back in New York prior to 2017.

5 Robinson Cano and Chien Ming Wang Rookie Hazing

via si.com

Every team in professional sports likes to have a little bit of fun with the rookies in some capacity. Sometimes they make them sing karaoke, sometimes they make them pay for a whole team's dinner, and sometimes the rooks have to dress up in ridiculous costumes. The Yankees like to see themselves as an organization that runs their team like a business, with strict policies enforced. That didn't stop the Yankees from having fun with some of the rookies every now and again.

Robinson Cano and Chien Ming Wang were two guys that were expected to make immediate impacts for the Yankees at second base and on the mound, respectively. But when they came to the Yankees, they thought being the life of a big league player would be easy. But their first encounter quickly scratched out that concept. Cano and Wang were made to wear cheerleading outfits and go out in front of hundreds of Yankee fans waiting. While in hindsight it doesn't seem so bad, people forget that the MLB has become more strict with their hazing rules. It seems like Cano and Wang had fun with it, but it takes away from the Yankee reputation of being classy and running the team like a business.

4 Hideki Irabu Not Feeling Too Well

via mikeresponts.com

This next Yankee was only a around for a few seasons in the mid 1990s, but came just at the right time. He ended up winning a few World Series trophies while being a part of the Bronx Bombers. He didn't end up having a winning record on the mound for his career, but he definitely does have a photo for us that the Yankees wish didn't make its way to the light.

Hideki Irabu wasn't necessarily the best pitcher to ever play in the MLB. He did okay with the Yankees, going 29-20. But he had a high ERA of 4.80, not going to get you the big bucks in this day and age. He just never seemed to be a significant factor in Yankees championship runs. He did have this photo though to leave a lasting image of him in Yankee history. He has his tounge out and looks like he may not be fully sober in this. Irabu is not with us anymore (RIP), but if he were alive today; he and the Yankee organization would be quick to hit the delete button off of this one and pretend it didn't exist.

3 Jeter Having Some Fun

via tmz.com

We have already seen Mike Mussina out for some fun on the town. We have also seen Derek Jeter posing with women, his rookie year photo, and now we see what he is like out in nightlife. Sometimes, people have way too much fun to a point where its physically noticeable. That seemed to be the case for Jeter within this particular photo. Here is Jeter looking like he was having the time of his life.

His face says that he enjoyed many alcoholic beverages, probably none that he paid for considering he was beloved in the Big Apple. His pants are noticeable ripped on the right side right at the thigh area, how they got that small rip in there is another story. Jeter knows how to have fun with winning, with women, and with others out on the town. It would be nice to get some clarification from Jeter about what happened that night and the state in which those jeans were in.

2 David Adams Enjoying a Nice Moment with His Wife

via baseballserendipity.com

This next Yankee player was only in the pinstripes for a quarter of the season. Seriously, he only played in 43 career games. David Adams was a utility infielder that had his moment of glory in 2013 playing for the historic Yankees. He only had 27 career hits, 13 career RBI's and two career homeruns. He may not have made an impact on the field, but off of it he knew how to take a steamy picture.

This photo is a simply one of pure love and beauty. He is giving his wife a nice smooch while the camera does its thing. It just goes to show how much privacy professional athletes get even during the offseason: barely any. Adams's wife definitely is a looker in this photo and the glasses/curly hair combination are a very nice tough. There are probably two things Adams wishes happened: one being he played a full season with the Yankees and the other being that this photo was a nice memory for his wife and him rather than a photo on the internet anyone can view.

1 Chapman Taken In

via nydailynews.com

We mentioned Chapman's checkered past including allegations of domestic violence. However, he's also been arrested for speeding while driving with a suspended license. This mugshot above is in relation to that arrest. Chapman was still pitching in Cincinnati at the time and was pulled over in Kentucky for speeding and taken in when cops found he was driving with a suspended license. The arrest came around the same time that Chapman was being sued for $18 million from a man in Cuba, who claimed he was imprisoned due to Chapman outing his planned defection to Cuban authorities in exchange for Chapman's own defection. In truth, Chapman's checkered past lent a lot of photos and information that he would want to remain private. Of course, that's impossible when crime is involved.
