Will Ferrell hasn't completed the round of covering every sport in a movie, so he's adding baseball to his real life. Ferrell is flying out to Arizona tomorrow to play in five different Cactus League games, as part of MLB Spring Training. Ferrell will play all nine positions in those five games, flying to each site by helicopter.
Major League Baseball and HBO are coordinating this for a cancer awareness project and HBO will film Ferrell at all five games. Ferrell will be playing baseball from 3 p.m ET to about 9:15. So far, the Chicago White Sox have confirmed Ferrell will appear in their game against the World Series Champion San Francisco Giants in Glendale and he will also appear in the Dodgers/Padres game in Peoria.
Ferrell has done multiple sports comedy movies, such as "Blades of Glory", "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby", "Kicking and Screaming", "Semi-Pro" and is also set to play Bobby Riggs in an upcoming movie about Billie Jean King.
Ferrell sure is living the dream.
