Keeping Up With The Clippers: 15 Things You Didn't Know About Blake Griffin And Kendall Jenner's Relationship

If you're a basketball fan, you should probably know who Blake Griffin is. In case you didn't know, Griffin is a popular power forward who has played for the Los Angeles Clippers since 2009. Griffin was also selected by the Clippers with the first overall pick in the first round of the 2009 NBA Draft. Lob City is still not as popular as Showtime, but Griffin still manages to pick up chicks.

If you're into pop culture, you should know who Kendall Jenner is. Kendall is the older sister of Kylie. Both barely legal girls were born to matriarch and Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kris and her then-husband Bruce Jenner (now Caitlyn). Kendall is also the girlfriend of Griffin, which is a good thing for both parties.

So far, Kendall and Griffin have proved that they were more than a fling. The couple reportedly made their relationship official on October 26, 2017. An insider told Us Weekly, "They’re legit. They’re a full-on couple...Kendall has been going to a lot of his games and they have been enjoying time at home when Blake is in town. They’re good.”

Other sources told Us Weekly that the couple were very close and in love with each other. Kendall was previously in a relationship with rapper A$AP Rocky from 2016 to 2017. Griffin, on the other hand, split from his fiancée Brynn (sister of former NFL tight end Jordan Cameron) in 2017. The former couple share two kids: a four-year son named Ford and a 13-month old daughter named Finley.

Here are 15 things you didn't know about Griffin and Jenner's relationship.

15 Kendall Keeps A Low Profile With Blake

via dailymail.co.uk

Kendall isn't just a brunette beauty who was named the World's Highest-Paid Model by Forbes' top-earning model list. In our opinion, she's the best Kardashian/Jenner because she's not a drama queen nor is she an attention whore.

Unlike her sisters, Kendall does her best to keep a low profile with Blake. Perhaps it's because her last relationship didn't end well or she has just seen too much relationship and marriage turmoil from her immediate family. Whatever her reasoning may be, she's actually doing the right thing.

Kendall recently covered her face when she was out and about with Blake in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City. She also wore a simple ensemble consisting of a silver blazer over a white t-shirt. She finished off the casual look with a pair of white jeans and a pair of white thigh-high boots. Her outing is apparently her business, not ours.

14 The Couple Got A Parking Ticket After Dinner

via wstale.com

Here's another casual outing where Kendall decided to cover her face.

Kendall and Blake recently dined at a sushi restaurant called Sugarfish in Beverly Hills, California. We're sure the food was of high quality. The couple tried their best to keep a low profile in black hoodies and matching pants and hoped to keep things on the down while leaving the restaurant after enjoying dinner on Sunday, November 12. Unfortunately, they were surprised with a parking ticket as they arrived back to their car.

Blake had a game against the Philadelphia 76ers the following day. Sadly, the 76ers edged the Clippers 109-105. Maybe he should be a little more careful on his dates before game days...or maybe Kendall should start giving him generic advice if she hasn't already done that. But hey, at least they had a chance to enjoy a delicious dinner at one of the best sushi restaurants in L.A., right?

13 Kendall Can Join Blake And His Boys For Guys' Night Out

via tmz.com

It might be a little too early to predict the future, but it seems like Kendall is already close enough with Blake to tag along with him and his boys on a guys' night out on any given day.

Blake and three of his guy friends hit up the Ocean Prime Steak and Seafood House in Beverly Hills, California., on Wednesday, October 11. Guess who else was there? The one and only Kendall, who evened out the party.

Kendall has been hanging out with Blake for a couple of months now, so there shouldn't be a reason for Blake to not invite his new girl along, right?

Now, this makes us wonder if Kendall will ever invite Blake to a girls' night out with her girlfriends? After all, it's kind of a mandatory thing for a person to return the favor that was done for them in the first place.

12 Kendall Is "Serious" About Blake

via eonline.com

Well, we don't know how long their relationship will last as the Kardashian-Jenner family often have bad luck in relationships, but right now, Kendall is "serious" about Blake.

Last month, Kendall cheered on Blake as he helped lead the Clippers to a victory over the Lakers. After the rivalry game, the couple had dinner at Petite Taqueria and met up with Kendall's sister Kourtney at the Poppy nightclub.

A source told E! News that Kendall and Blake were inseparable that night. They didn't leave each other's sides as they danced (and laughed) together. Blake had a drink in his hand, while Kendall went straight edge. The couple left the Poppy in the same car just after 1 a.m.

Prior to the post-basketball game date, Kendall and Blake visited The Queen Mary's Dark Harbor Halloween in Long Beach, California, with a group of friends. An onlooker told E! News that the pair were canoodling and had their arms around each other throughout the night.

11 Blake Isn't Shy When It Comes To Fatherhood

via x17online.com

Before Blake and Kendall became an item, Blake was engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Brynn Cameron, a former college basketball player who played at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, Calif. Cameron also had two kids with Griffin.

Apparently, Blake isn't shy when it comes to fatherhood. Earlier this year, Griffin talked about fatherhood in an interview with the Los Angeles Times and revealed how becoming a dad has changed him. Griffin said, "Now it’s like what kind of example am I leaving or setting for my son...When my daughter can actually know what’s going on? What type of example am I showing her about how she should expect to be treated by men and all those things?” Griffin added, "Like, that’s the biggest thing…I spend my time a little different and I think a little differently."

Well, Griffin technically isn't setting the best example for his son as he left the mother of his two kids to romance Kendall, but at least the couple ended things on good terms.

10 Blake Isn't Ready To Have A Baby With Kendall Yet

via lifeandstylemag.com

It looks like Kendall is feeling left out as her sisters Kylie, Khloé and Kim are all going to welcome new babies in the near future. A family insider told Life & Style, "Her sisters are excitedly planning the arrivals of their newborns...and Kendall feels like the odd one out."

Kendall's man Blake is already a father of two and isn't ready to start a family with the model and reality star. An insider told Life & Style, "Blake adores Kendall...but it’s early in their relationship and he’s not feeling ready yet."

In the meantime, Kendall can serve as a stepmother, but she once wrote on her blog, "If I were building my perfect world on the game, this is how it would look: I'd have a beautiful, secluded house in Malibu with a gorgeous husband and a couple of kids...Seeing models like Cindy Crawford and Gisele [Bundchen] live chill but extremely fortunate and blessed lives seems like exactly what I would want."

9 Kendall Is A Lakers Fan

via mirror.co.uk

It should be obvious, but Kendall grew up as a Lakers fan. Hey, we don't blame her for cheering on the Lakers! After all, they're the NBA team that runs L.A. and let's not forget that her older sister Khloé used to be married to former Laker forward Lamar Odom. She's also an L.A. native who attended the Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, California, before switching to homeschooling in order to pursue modeling.

As you might've guessed, Blake wasn't happy when he found out that Kendall was a Lakers fan. A source told HollywoodLife.com, "Everything is really cool with them both and they are really interested in being together...They continue to have fun and want to hang out at all times and be together and make the relationship a success. The one thing that upsets him though about her is that she is a Lakers fan and he can’t change that. It's not going to be a deal breaker for their relationship. But it is a little bit of a slap in the face for Blake, since he obviously plays for the Los Angeles Clippers.”

Well, if everything goes well down the road, we might see Kendall switch her team allegiances from the Lakers to Clippers in the future.

8 Blake Is A Stand-Up Comedian

via youtube.com

Blake has long been known as a superstar forward with endorsements like Kia Motors, Panini America, Subway, Vizio, and GameFly. He has also appeared on the covers of NCAA Basketball 10 and NBA 2K13. In addition, he has starred in deadpan ads.

Blake has another talent that you may not have been aware of. In 2014, he stopped by the Laugh Factory to deliver a few jokes during an open mic segment. In 2016, a 10-minute YouTube video of Griffin's comical set at the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal, Quebec, surfaced onto the internet. The video displayed the crowd erupting in laughter.

Blake may not look like the average stand-up comedian, but he did made a slam dunk for the fans in the audience who were simply looking for a laugh from a comedian guy who can tell some jokes on a wide range of topics.

7 Kendall's Family Accepts Blake

via justjared.com

The Kardashian-Jenner clan are usually about family first and everyone else second. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that Kendall might've wanted her family to approve of Blake in the early stages of their friendship-turned-relationship.

At first, Kendall hung out with Blake following his split from his then-fiancée, just to have some fun; but things later became serious. When they weren't hanging out, they'd keep in touch over the phone. When they became a full-on couple, Kendall's family accepted Blake and reportedly told her that they'll spend time to get to know him.

Of course, it's nice that Kendall's family approves of her new boyfriend, but it's up to her (and him, for that matter) to keep the fire alive in their relationship...and just avoid drama altogether. Hopefully, they'll make things last because they deserve to find happiness in their lives after having spotty histories on their dating resumes.

6 The Couple Enjoys Group Dates

via justjared.com

Blake and Kendall appear to enjoy group dates as they've been on quite a few of them. They've been on a double date with a similar couple: NBA forward Chandler Parsons and model Hailey Baldwin. Blake and Kendall left Craig's in L.A. together and hopped into a waiting car. Chandler and Hailey followed their lead shortly after. Before this date, Chandler and Hailey have been spotted together in the past, like sunbathing together in June, but insisted that they weren't dating. Same goes for Blake and Kendall, who refuted to comment at the time.

Also, Blake and Kendall have gone on a double date with Kendall's pregnant sister Kylie and her boyfriend Travis Scott (rapper). The couples spent an evening at the Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights in Hollywood, Calif. Their friends Jordyn Woods and Hailey Baldwin also joined in the fun.

There are other group dates that Blake and Kendall have attended, but these are just a few examples.

5 Kendall Is Less Affectionate Towards Blake Unlike Kylie And Her Boyfriend

via youtube.com

Like we just mentioned, Kylie and her rapper boyfriend, Travis Scott, joined Kendall and her NBA star boyfriend, Blake, on a rather haunted outing at Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights. Both ladies remained close to their men while navigating the amusement park.

An onlooker told International Business Times, "Kylie and Kendall were both really loving and cuddly with their boyfriends. Both couples were almost always holding hands or had their arms around each other."

Kylie and Travis were a little more affectionate than the fairly new couple Kendall and Blake, but Kendall still seemed to enjoy spending time with Blake.

An eyewitness told International Business Times, "Travis and Kylie were a little more cuddly than Kendall and Blake. They would kiss more and Kylie would be hanging on Travis. Kendall and Kylie took their boyfriends through the haunted mazes and were always clinging to their mans’ arms during the maze."

4 Not All Of Blake's Clippers Welcome Kendall

via people.com

As expected, the Kardashian-Jenner curse may be a real thing as some athletes and rappers fear the effect of the dominant women dating famous men and supposedly ruining their lives.

During this year's offseason, Blake has reportedly been warned that Kendall isn't welcome at the Clippers’ facilities in Los Angeles. RadarOnline first broke the news with an attention-grabbing headline: "Blake Griffin Warned By Clippers Execs: Kendall Jenner Is Not Welcome Here!" Even though the pair wasn't dating at the time, the site claimed that the reality star is already causing trouble for the professional baller. The site also wrote that Griffin’s Clippers bosses are up in arms worried that their star player’s performance will be negatively affected by his new love interest.

Apparently, Clippers bosses have told Blake that they didn't want Kendall to crash their locker room and distract the team with the so-called Kardashian circus and excess paparazzi.

3 The Couple Have Recent Exes

via youtube.com

We just want to reiterate that it's not just one part of the couple who has a recent ex, but both of the halves. Kendall seemingly loves to keep people guessing about who she's dating, but she split from her ex-boyfriend A$AP Rocky, despite being romantically linked to the rapper. Blake, on the other hand, amicably split with his fiancée Brynn Cameron, but he remains friends with the former college basketball player while raising their son and daughter.

There's nothing wrong with two halves who recently ended their previous relationships, but we have a feeling that this relationship between Blake and Kendall may not last long either. In reality, not every rebound relationship is going to last. Sure, Kendall did take some time before deciding to take her relationship with Blake to the next level, but she's 22 years old and might not be sure about what she wants in her love life.

2 Blake's Ex-Fiancée Is Also Former NFL Quarterback's Baby Mama

via 365voice.com

Well, well, well...Blake's ex-fiancée Brynn Cameron seems to have an eye out for athletic sperm. You might not have been aware of this, but Cameron had a son with former NFL quarterback Matt Leinart, who played for the Arizona Cardinals (2006-09), Houston Texans (2010-11), Oakland Raiders (2012) and Buffalo Bills (2013). Leinart played college football at USC.

Leinart broke up with Cameron before their son was born. That caused the former couple to have a battle over child support, but they eventually settled their differences and Leinart received a schedule to see his son on a regular basis. Leinart, however, has to pay Cameron $15,000 in monthly child support.

Yeah, Cameron used to play college basketball at USC, but now, she's known for being a gold digger who had three kids with two professional athletes who dumped her. They likely wanted to avoid future headaches with women who have such intentions.

1 Blake Got Naked In An Episode Of Broad City

via much.com

If there’s anyone who can get an NBA star like Blake to crawl around on the floor completely naked, it’s Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson of the Comedy Central series Broad City.

Griffin played himself in an episode in Season 3 titled "B&B-NYC" in which he met Glazer’s character at a club, and the pair headed to the bedroom for a romantic (and sexual) evening.

Glazer and Jacobson opened up about the cameo last year during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden. Glazer told Corden, "We found out that he was a fan of the show, and then we thought of this story line, and we were like, 'Please do it.' And then he was down." Glazer added, "He’s really funny and smart and was down. He’s really funny, just happens to be like a 6-10, great, amazing basketball player. But he’s also very funny. He was smart and, like, in it."
