After plenty of build to bring Lacey Evans back to television as part of the SmackDown roster, this week WWE has reportedly moved her to be on Monday Night Raw.
For the past several weeks WWE has been airing vignettes of Lacey Evans telling her life story. They have all been quite powerful, and emotional videos, with the company pushing her as a babyface after returning. While she was last seen in a storyline alongside Ric Flair, Evans had to be taken off television for most of 2021 due to being pregnant.
However, she made her return to the ring on SmackDown last week, for a segment on the show. But, it appears that might be her last segment on the blue brand for the foreseeable future, because the company is switching things up once again.
Lacey Evans Joins The Red Brand
Lacey Evans might have spent weeks telling her life story to the SmackDown audience, but that isn't where she is going to be applying her craft moving forwards. According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Evans is now going to be part of the Raw roster from now on.
On top of that, the company is apparently going to be using her as a heel. Even though all of her vignettes have been done to gain sympathy for her character, due to her life story, and being a mother, she is now reverting to being a heel.
The decision to turn her will be interesting to see play out, just because the WWE Universe has been buying the work that has taken place recently. Evans has been getting positive responses as of late, and it is not a guarantee that the fans will simply switch back to booing her.
