There have been several great matches in AEW, though sometimes these are either a one-off or not the end of a rivalry. AEW has sometimes had a tendency to carry on rivalries for a little too long, even after a perfect match - such as with Adam Page vs Jon Moxley recently, or Eddie Kingston vs Chris Jericho.

There are still quite a few candidates for the best feud-enders in AEW, with it being quite difficult to pick between them due to how many top class bouts there have been both on Dynamite and on PPV over the last four years of AEW programming.

10 Cody Rhodes Vs. Sammy Guevara, Dynamite 2022

Cody Rhodes vs Sammy Guevara AEW Ladder Match

The rivalry between Cody Rhodes and Sammy Guevara was one which dated back to the first ever episode of Dynamite, however their last chapter for the TNT Championship wasn’t very good. However, their match to end the feud made up for all of that.

Rhodes and Guevara stole the show with a stunning ladder match that featured huge spot after huge spot, including a springboard cutter from atop a ladder. Guevara’s win was a good moment, and it marked Rhodes’ last ever match in AEW before leaving to go to WWE.

9 Death Triangle Vs. The Elite, Dynamite 2023

The six men in this match have been crossing paths since AEW first began, with the Young Bucks vs. Lucha Brothers and Kenny Omega vs. PAC being two of the earliest feuds in the company’s history. From there, they have met time and time again, though in 2023 followed a best of seven series, it feels like things have been tied up (at least for a little while).

The Elite and Death Triangle competed this series with a breathtaking ladder match for the AEW World Trios Titles, in what was a spot fest in all the good ways. It was exciting, there were crazy spots, and it ensured that the crowd were on their feet for pretty much the whole thing.

8 Best Friends Vs. Santana & Ortiz, Dynamite 2020

Going in, this wasn’t the most heated of rivalries, but their blow-off Parking Lot Brawl was an incredible way to end the feud. It was a creative street fight with a lot of physicality and brutal spots.

Things kept on getting crazier as the match went on, with the more memorable moments including a brutal powerbomb on the windshield of a car, Orange Cassidy appearing from inside a trunk, and Trent’s Mom flipping off out of her car as the show went off air.

7 Cody Rhodes Vs. Mr. Brodie Lee, Dynamite 2020

The feud between The Elite and The Inner Circle was a mixture of intensity, personal animosity, and a whole lot of silliness, and their Stadium Stampede match at Double or Nothing 2020 was the perfect representation of all that.

On a PPV which felt very odd with a lack of an audience, these ten men delivered in a major way to create something special. The Stadium Stampede was a spectacle which allowed every character to shine and it had an array of great spots and moments throughout.

5 Best Friends Vs. Miro & Kip Sabian, Dynamite 2021

AEW Arcade Anarchy

Once again, the Best Friends were involved in a feud that wasn’t the best, but the match to end things was incredible. This time it was the duo of Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy teaming up to battle Miro & Kip Sabian in an Arcade Anarchy.

On paper, this seemed a little silly, but in execution it was a creative masterclass full of great brawling, unique spots, and one of the most satisfying conclusions to an episode of Dynamite ever, as Kris Statlander, Trent, and Trent’s mom all made surprise appearances to provide a feel good ending to this feud.

4 CM Punk Vs. MJF, Revolution 2022

Although it seems like AEW were set to start another chapter of this feud, as of right now this match closed the rivalry, and it did so in a remarkable way.

AEW once again utilized the Dog Collar Match in the perfect fashion, resulting in this bloody and brutal clash between two bitter rivals. It had several great moments including a thumbtack spot and the babyface turn of Wardlow.

3 MJF Vs. Bryan Danielson, Revolution 2023

The feud between Bryan Danielson and MJF wasn’t the longest ever rivalry in AEW history, but it was still completed with one of the greatest Iron Man matches of all time.

Things had heated up by the week between these two, with personal insults dealt back and forth. The pair settled things in this instant classic which will likely settle the feud between these two men forever. It was a wonderfully paced epic which saw MJF submit Danielson in a surprising finish.

2 CM Punk Vs. Eddie Kingston, Full Gear 2021

The build to CM Punk vs. Eddie Kingston was only a short-term one, but they managed to create an intriguing story which built in a lot of hatred and animosity, and they delivered all of this in their match at Full Gear.

Arguably the greatest rivalry in AEW history was completed with a perfect ending, as Adam Page finally overcame not only Kenny Omega but all his personal demons too on his way to becoming the AEW World Champion.

After almost three years, Page completed the perfect underdog journey, and it all culminated in this enthralling back and forth match with his former friend turned rival. There were very high expectations for this match, but it succeeded.
