Chris Jericho is one of the all-time great competitors to lace up a pair of boots. Jericho has remained relevant for many years as he hasn't hesitated to change up his character. The Wizard, Larger than Life, Y2J, and Le Champion are amongst the nicknames that Jericho has gone by. Jericho's cabinet is littered with championships, and he has virtually won every championship available in WWE as he is a Grand Slam Champion.

Not all of Jericho's championship reigns have been memorable and some have been abrupt. However, some of Jericho's championship runs have been superb, and it's a big deal when Jericho holds a championship as he can elevate it with some importance.

10 Worst: WCW Championship - 2nd Reign (2001)

Vengeance 2001 was a legendary night in Chris Jericho's career. Y2J defeated The Rock to become WCW Champion for the second time, and he went to beat Steve Austin for the WWE Championship, and thus he was the Undisputed WWE Champion.

With Jericho becoming the Undisputed WWE Champion, the WCW Championship was retired. Jericho held the WCW Championship for under 15 minutes, and it was still recognized as one of his seven World Championship reigns.

9 Best: Unified WWE Tag Team Championship - 5th Reign (2009)

Chris Jericho has formed some excellent partnerships throughout his wrestling career, but arguably his best tag team partner was Big Show. Collectively they were known as Jeri-Show, and Big Show replaced Edge as Jericho's tag team partner at Night of Champions 2009.

Jeri-Show was the Unified WWE Tag Team Champions, and they were fighting champions. They successfully retained the titles against the likes of Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, Cryme Tyme, and Batista and Rey Mysterio. Show was the powerhouse, and Jericho was at his best inside the ring. Their five-month run as champions was ended by DX in a TLC match at TLC 2009.

The United States Championship eluded Chris Jericho, but he finally won the title in January 2017. Jericho dropped the US Title to Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 33. However, at Payback, Jericho regained the United States Championship from Owens.

Jericho's victory ensured that the title would move over to SmackDown. Moreover, KO involved his rematch clause two days later on SmackDown. Nevertheless, it was a dreadful title reign for Jericho's standards as he dropped the gold back to Owens.

7 Best: WCW World Television Championship - 1st Reign (1998)

Chris Jericho was a mainstay in the Cruiserweight division, but he finally stepped out of it, when he chased after the WCW World Television Championship. Jericho defeated Stevie Ray for the title on an episode of Nitro.

Jericho defended the title consistently, and he held the gold for 112 days. He defeated the likes of Goldberg, Raven, and Eddie Guerrero during his brilliant run with the gold. Ultimately, Konnan dethroned him on the November 30, 1998, edition of Nitro.

Kurt Angle walked into WrestleMania 16 as the Intercontinental Champion and European Champion, and he walked out beltless. Chris Jericho escaped with the European Championship on his debut WrestleMania appearance.

24 hours later, Jericho defended his newly won European Championship against Eddie Guerrero. Jericho looked to be in a commanding position to retain the title. However, Chyna blindsided Jericho by connecting with a DDT. She placed Eddie onto Jericho, and Eddie captured his first singles championship in WWE with Jericho's title reign lasting just one day.

5 Best: WCW Cruiserweight Championship - 3rd Reign (1998)

Chris Jericho defeated Rey Mysterio to kickstart his third WCW Cruiserweight Championship reign at Souled Out 1998. Jericho was a heel during his title run, and he gave the championship the respect that it deserved with some memorable matches.

Jericho defeated Juventud Guerrera at SuperBrawl 8, and his championship matches with Dean Malenko were always fantastic contests. Malenko ended Jericho's Cruiserweight Championship reign at Slamboree 1998.

4 Worst: Intercontinental Championship - 6th Reign (2003)

On the October 27, 2003 edition of Raw, Chris Jericho challenged Rob Van Dam for the Intercontinental Championship. Co-Raw General Manager Eric Bischoff appeared at ringside as Jericho represented him at Survivor Series. Furthermore, Y2J defeated RVD to become a six-time Intercontinental Champion which tied his record with Jeff Jarrett.

Steve Austin forced Jericho to defend the title in a Steel Cage match against RVD. It was a forgettable championship run for Jericho as he dropped the championship back to Van Dam.

3 Best: Undisputed WWE Championship - 1st Reign (2001-02)

As aforementioned, Chris Jericho did the unthinkable when he defeated The Rock and Steve Austin on the same night to become the first-ever Undisputed WWE Champion at Vengeance 2001. Jericho constantly reminded fans of that remarkable achievement.

He successfully defended the title in a triple threat match against both The Rock and Kurt Angle on the Christmas Eve special edition of Raw. Jericho successfully defended the title against The Rock at the 2002 Royal Rumble, and he beat Steve Austin at No Way Out 2002. Ultimately, Triple H defeated him for the title in his maiden WrestleMania main event at WrestleMania 18.

2 Worst: Hardcore Championship - 1st Reign (2001)

Chris Jericho was already one-half of the reigning WWE Tag Team Champions, and he was looking to become a double champion when he challenged Big Show for the Hardcore Championship on the May 28, 2001, taping of Raw. Jericho's arm was bandaged up, but the future tag team partners had a decent outing.

Show attempted to hit Jericho with the steel steps, but it backfired, and Jericho connected with the Lionsault to clinch the Hardcore Championship for the first time. With the 24/7 rule in effect, Jericho was making his way backstage but Rhyno gored him at the top of the stage with Jericho's championship reign not long for this world.

Chris Jericho will forever be immortalized as the Inaugral AEW World Champion. Jericho defeated "Hangman" Adam Page at All Out in August 2019 earning the right to hold the AEW World Championship. Le Champion was born, and Jericho was the perfect candidate to be the first man to be called the AEW World Champion.

Jericho was a fighting champion, and he had some tussles with Darby Allin, Cody Rhodes, and Scorpio Sky who were unable to take the championship away from him. Nonetheless, before the COVID-19 pandemic struck, Jon Moxley brought the curtain down on Jericho's 182-day AEW World Championship reign at AEW Revolution.
