Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar have been in the professional wrestling business concurrently for a number of years. In WWE alone, Lashley has wrestled over 500 matches, while Lesnar has over 300 WWE matches under his belt. And yet the two men have never stood in opposite corners of the same ring at the same time ... and Bobby Lashley thinks he knows why.

I am in my final run, I have a few years left, but I am open for anything. I train, I’m always in shape, I’m always ready to go. By the time Bobby Lashley debuted in WWE in 2005, Brock Lesnar had already left the company to pursue other ventures. When Lesnar returned to WWE in 2012, Lashley had been gone from WWE for five years. Lashley returned in 2018, which meant that he and Lesnar were finally on the same roster at the same time.

As Lashley said in the aforementioned interview with Josh Martinez, he's currently in his final run. He's 45 years old, and probably won't be a full-time professional wrestler for much longer. Lesnar is 44 and is already a part-timer. If these two behemoths are ever going to have a match, it needs to happen soon.

WWE has a history of failing to book "dream matches" (Sting vs. The Undertaker, The Rock vs. HBK, and Lesnar Vs. Batista to name a few) so if it won't be a huge shock if Lashley and Lesnar retire before they ever go one-on-one in a WWE ring, but at least Lashley is sowing the seeds.
