If Goldberg returns to WWE for more matches, one of his toughest opponents ever would happily accept a rematch.

The WWE Hall of Famer last wrestled a match at Elimination Chamber 2022 on Feb. 19, losing a Universal Championship match to Roman Reigns. As previously noted, this bout was the final match on the 55-year-old's contract, and Goldberg has yet to announce if he'll wrestle again.

But if the former Universal Champion decides to get back in the ring, he should know that Bobby Lashley is among the notable talents who would face him in a rematch. The Almighty defeated Goldberg in their first ever showdown at SummerSlam 2021 — a WWE Championship bout — but the Hall of Famer bounced back back with a victory in a No Holds Barred Falls Count Anywhere match at Crown Jewel 2021.

During an appearance on So Catch (h/t Sportskeeda Wrestling), Lashley offered some kind words on his former rival. Lashley also made it clear that if the opportunity for a rematch arises, he would be up for it.

"I like Goldberg," Lashley said. "Goldberg’s such a big name. We know Goldberg, comes out there, you know Goldberg is Goldberg. To me, it was a challenge because having a match with him and then just being out there, seeing the spectacle that goes around Goldberg, I enjoyed it. If Goldberg ever needs to come back, I’m one of those guys that’ll raise my hand and take it any time."

Lashley is currently in a feud with Omos, who went on a lengthy undefeated streak following his split from longtime tag team partner AJ Styles. Lashley ended Omos' streak at WrestleMania 38 weekend, but the latter evened the series by defeating the two-time WWE Champion at WrestleMania Backlash. The 45-year-old Lashley narrowly got past Omos a second time in a Steel Cage match on this week's episode of WWE Raw.

WWE usually likes to bring in legends and part-time talents like Goldberg, John Cena, Shane McMahon and Brock Lesnar for marquee pay-per-views like SummerSlam. There aren't any hints on a potential Goldberg return taking place any time soon, so we'll just have to continue waiting and seeing how things play out.

WWE Probably Won't Do Lashley vs. Goldberg Again

WWE only uses Goldberg for a handful of matches a year, and his programs are always short since he's a part-time performer. WWE had him feud with Lesnar, Kevin Owens, The Undertaker, Dolph Ziggler, Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, Drew McIntyre, Lashley and then Reigns. All of those programs were relatively short and sweet, and chances are WWE would want Goldberg to face someone new if he opted to return. So chances are that he and Lashley won't meet one-on-one again in the ring.
