Pro Boxer Has Ruthless Taunt For Opponent Who Misses A Punch

Middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders took as much delight in mocking his opponent as he did in beating him up to retain his title.

Pro boxers are some of the cockiest athletes in the world and aren't afraid to show one another up.

WBO Middleweight Champion Billy Joe Saunders faced off against David Lemieux in a middleweight title match this past weekend in Laval, Quebec, Canada.

It was the third time that Saunders had defended his title and he didn't have any problems holding onto his undefeated record, which improved to 26-0 after blowing away Lemieux.

It's amazing that Lemieux was even given a chance to win the WBO title, because he looked lost and helpless against Saunders while looking desperate as he was unable to defend himself against the jab.

At the end of the fight, Lemieux decided to blame his loss on an injured hand that he suffered during the second round. One thing is for sure, Saunders backed up the trash talk that he spewed leading up to the bout by rocking Lemieux.

Saunders thoroughly enjoyed himself during the fight as you can see him taunting Lemieux below. I've never seen anything like this. He was clearly toying with him and wasn't threatened by him at all.

Saunders was very impressive and proved that he's good enough to warrant his fights being broadcasted on HBO. He's only 28-years-old and could soon rise to stardom in North America.

Saunders is originally from England and won the WBO Middleweight title in 2015 after defeating Andy Lee in February of that year. So he's almost held the title for a total of three years. That's impressive.

As of this month, Ring Magazine has Saunders ranked as the fifth-best middleweight in the world. He's also held the European, British, and Commonwealth middleweight championships between 2012 and 2015.

Saunders was so good as an amateur that he won his first 49 matches at the senior level. He qualified for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing at the age of 18. He ended up losing in the semi-finals, but took home a bronze medal after finishing third.
