Former WWE superstar Braun Strowman (real name Adam Scherr) has a message for Shane McMahon, who parted ways with WWE earlier this week.

As previously noted, Shane O'Mac left the company following a plethora of creative disagreements regarding the Royal Rumble. He reportedly garnered plenty of heat backstage for largely booking the match around himself. Apparently, he had disagreements with Brock Lesnar and father Vince McMahon.

Following the news that McMahon was let go by WWE, Strowman shared a "Control Your Narrative" message for the man he beat at WrestleMania 37 10 months ago:

Strowman and McMahon engaged in a feud for WrestleMania 37 last year. The program consisted of Shane insulting The Monster Among Men's intelligence, which set up a Steel Cage match at The Grandest Stage of Them All. Strowman defeated McMahon and was surprisingly released by the company less than two months later.

The Royal Rumble pay-per-view was widely viewed as a disappointment, especially the men's match that was won by Brock Lesnar. For one, having a part-timer win a marquee match didn't sit well with plenty of fans. The actual match itself greatly lacked execution, pace and rhythm, and there was a great lack of surprise entries for the men's match.

Shane McMahon WWE

The Seth Rollins-Roman Reigns Universal Championship match displayed phenomenal pace early on, but the disqualification ending (Reigns wouldn't let go of his guillotine submission hold after Rollins grabbed the ropes), also received plenty of backlash from fans and prognosticators.

At any rate, the Royal Rumble pay-per-view is in the past. What's done is done, and now it's time for WWE to focus on Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania 38.

One Of WWE's Strangest Sagas In Recent Memory

It's difficult to comprehend how the Royal Rumble booking became so messy. One would think that Shane would be virtually untouchable in this instance. It's one thing to disagree on the booking of a match, but for McMahon to actually leave the company entirely? Indeed, it's one of the more bizarre WWE backstage incidents in quite some time.
