AEW has made great strides since it was launched in 2019, but there's one area of the promotion that could use a little work ... the women's division. AEW's women's roster is stacked with some of the most exciting female wrestlers on the planet, but very few actually get any TV time. However, things do seem to be improving, and former AEW Women's World Champion Britt Baker concurs.

"I think there is always work to be done in every division and every company around the world," Baker said during a recent interview with TV Insider's Scott Fishman."You can’t ever settle. That’s when it gets dangerous. We have so many talented women right now. Everyone has their time. When it’s their time to shine, there is nothing in this world that can dim that light.

Baker believes that the lack of TV time for certain women is more a result of a rotation policy than anything nefarious, and she's confident that the women's division will continue to get better. "Sometimes you are at the top and then other times you are a little bit lower when it comes to TV time. That’s everything in life, not just wrestling," the DMD said. "I think we are in a great spot right now. There is always room to grow, but we’re going to keep growing."

Britt Baker AEW Women's World Champion

Baker -- who lost the AEW Women's World Championship to Thunder Rosa back in March -- will go one-on-one with Ruby Soho in the final match of the inaugural Owen Hart Foundation Tournament at Double or Nothing on Sunday, May 29. Baker booked her place in the final by defeating Danielle Kamela in the qualifying round, Maki Itoh in the quarterfinals, and Toni Storm in the semifinals. Soho defeated Robyn Renegade, Riho, and Kris Stadtlander en route to the finals.
