To end this week's SmackDown, Brock Lesnar made a surprising return and stood face-to-face with Roman Reigns who had just successfully defended his WWE Unified Universal Championship against Riddle in the main event. The trouble began for the champion when Reigns boasted in the ring at the end of the match that there was no one left. As he went to leave, Lesnar's music hit.

Lesnar strolled down to the ring and started down Reigns. He went for a handshake and decided instead to deliver an F5. As The Usos tried to get in and help, they too received F5s for their trouble. The announcers yelled, "The Beast is back and he wants his title back!"

This was a huge moment to close an already big show. With Vince McMahon opening the two-hour program and Reigns vs. Riddle being the main event, WWE fans knew it was going to be a big night. That said, few, if any insiders had Lesnar showing up to close the program. Speculation was that he wasn't going to be a part of Money in the Bank and neither would Reigns, but it will be interesting to see if WWE has changed their minds considering the massive amount of injuries that have hit the roster in recent weeks. If not Money in the Bank, it is likely SummerSlam becomes the date these two will have their rematch from WrestleMania.

Lesnar Is The Star WWE Needs

As mentioned, WWE has taken a hit in terms of stars that were available to main event Raw or SmackDown. Lesnar is a bonafide draw and his return can't come at a better time for the company. Will he be able to dethrone Reigns who has been the most dominant champion for WWE in years? Lesnar certainly wants to get a measure of revenge after losing clean at this past Showcase of the Immortals.
