Bron Breakker is, once again, the NXT Champion as he defeated Dolph Ziggler in an unadvertised championship match on Monday's Raw. WrestleMania Monday is always a show that features some unexpected moments and the NXT Title being defended and the belt changing hands certainly qualifies as a surprise.

Ziggler successfully defended his title this weekend at NXT Stand & Deliver, but a rematch was put on Raw in the second hour and Breakker was able to make the most of his second opportunity. The change could mean a few things. It could be that Breakker staying in NXT a little longer. It could be that Ziggler is going back into the tag team scene on SmackDown and ending his run in NXT. It could be that WWE is planning to build the NXT brand around a potential future star.

Breakker looked good and this was a huge showcase for both the repeat/new champion and the NXT 2.0 brand. Breakker is a real star in the making and the title is in good hands if the plan is to keep the belt around him for a while. Ziggler good his job in helping elevate both the man and the belt during his brief run, and it will be interesting to see who steps up next to challenge Breakker. Not only that, but it will be intriguing to see if they have him defend the title frequently on Raw.

Solid Title Match On Raw

A show that wasn't showcasing much in the way of strong in-ring action up to the point this match took place, the bout set a different pace for a very chaotic and busy Raw. It was a nice change of pace, even if it was for a title that doesn't actually belong to the red brand. Breakker can go and considering how long he's been in the game, he's got a ton of potential. Ziggler is always good.
