One might sail the seven seas in search in search of true love, but would never know where or when they would meet their soulmate. They might have many failed experiences, but can conquer the world when the right person comes into their life. Bryan Danielson had a similar experience when he met his wife, Brie Bella. 10 First Storyline Together
The Bella Twins were the first to make their marks in WWE when they debuted in 2008. Bryan Danielson followed suit and signed with the promotion in 2009, and after his stint in NXT and his storyline against The Nexus, he got to work with his future wife Brie Bella in a love-triangle storyline in 2010.
Both Brie and Nikki Bella were fighting for Bryan's affection, leading towards multiple segments and matches. The storyline ended with the Bellas finding out that Bryan dumped them both as he was having a secret relationship with Gail Kim.
9 The Start Of Their Relationship
Despite the storyline's end, Bryan Danielson didn't part ways with the Bella Twins altogether as he started dating Brie Bella. Some other reports also claim that Bryan went out with Brie even before the storyline, but they got together only after the storyline.
Brie Bella had broken up with her ex-boyfriend, musician Richie Kotzen before Danielson asked her out. According to Bella, their relationship began very slow, but they soon got serious about it and took things to the next level. She even adapted herself to Bryan's lifestyle by becoming a vegan herself.
8 When Brian Popped The Question
We don't know when Bryan popped the question to Brie Bella in real life, but he did so on an episode of Total Divas, which aired as the Season 1 finale.
Danielson took Bella on a trek, and things got romantic when they were gazing at the ocean from an excellent viewpoint. Bryan then talked about how long they've been dating and how he wants to be with her forever like the ocean goes on. He then got on one knee and asked her to marry him, to which she said yes.
7 Their Wedding
It was only fitting that Bryan and Brie's wedding took place five days after the former had the greatest moment of his pro wrestling career when he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 30.
The wedding got featured on the season 2 finale of Total Divas, and it took place at L'Auberge de Sedona on April 11, 2014. WWE superstars including Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, Jimmy Uso, and John Cena, who was dating Brie's sister Nikki at the time, were among the guests in attendance. Both Brie and Bryan exchanged their vows and started their journey as Mr. & Mrs. Danielson.
6 Their Post Wedding Life
Their life after the wedding is no secret as most of them are well documented and shown on WWE's show Total Divas & Total Bellas. The fan witnessed some key moments in their lives, like buying their first home together and their involvement in Nikki Bella's relationship with John Cena.
It also featured some arguments between the two of them and how they managed to set it all aside. It might feature some scripted moments, but it did give the fans a close perspective on their real-life journey as a married couple.
5 Bryan's First Retirement
The pro-wrestling fans were in for a shock when Bryan Danielson announced he's retiring from in-ring competition on the February 8, 2016, episode of Raw.
Bryan revealed he had around ten documented concussions throughout his pro wrestling career and developed a chronic lesion in his brain's temporoparietal region, which gave him post-concussion seizures, which led to his retirement. Pictures of him breaking down backstage on the night he announced his retirement broke everyone's hearts. But as we saw in the picture, Brie Bella stood by her husband during those dark days and helped him overcome the grief of having to give up the career he loved so much.
4 The Bella Twins' Youtube Channel
The Bella Twins launched their own YouTube channel, "The Bella Twins," in November 2016. The channel featured daily fashion, beauty, travel, and fitness created by the twins. The channel also featured sneak peeks into the twins' personal lives including, Brie's marriage life with Bryan Danielson and Nikki's relationship with John Cena.
The fans got to see a whole different side of Danielson and Bella's life, as they posted regular videos of them gardening, cooking, and preparing for their child's arrival. It gave the fans a whole new perspective about Danielson's post-retirement life.
3 Bryan's Comeback
After his retirement, Danielson returned to WWE as the General Manager of SmackDown. But the ring missed him a lot, and out of the blue, he announced that he was cleared for an in-ring return on the March 20, 2018, episode of SmackDown.
Those who saw the segment would remember how Bryan almost broke down when he mentioned his wife Brie Bella's contribution to his return. She told him to fight for his dreams and stood by his side at all times, which eventually led to Danielson getting cleared for in-ring competition. She was ringside for Danielson's return match at WrestleMania 34, and they shared a beautiful moment together after the match.
2 Their Children
Bryan Danielson and Brie Bella had their first child, a daughter, on May 9, 2017. They named her Birdie Joe Danielson, and fans have watched her grow over the years on Total Bellas and their YouTube channel. Brie Bella revealed that she had a 22-hour long labor, and Bryan had glued himself to her the entire time.
The couple had their second child, a son, on August 1, 2020, and named him Buddy Dessert Danielson. Together, Bryan and Brie have created the best world they could live in surrounded with love, and the addition of two children made it even more wonderful for the couple.
1 Brie's Involvement In Brian Signing with AEW
While she was still associated with WWE, Brie Bella didn't stop her husband from contemplating an option to leave WWE for AEW. Bella revealed that Danielson was thinking about signing with AEW and had conflicting emotions towards the decision.
Bella also refused to help Danielson make a decision, as she wanted him to follow his heart and not stay with WWE just because she was still associated with the company. Bryan then decided to sign with AEW and made his debut at the 2021 All Out PPV. He will now challenge Adam Page for the AEW World Championship at the Winter is Coming television special.
