Bryan Danielson made quite the impact when he debuted for AEW earlier this year. The former WWE Champion closed All Out, stealing Adam Cole's thunder in the process who had made a surprise entrance of his own just moments before. Since then Danielson has gone unbeaten in AEW, winning all of his matches apart from one, a time limit draw with Kenny Omega.

Danielson's Plain White Tees

Most of AEW's surprise debuts are paired with the launch of a new t-shirt. Sting, CM Punk, and Cole all had shirts available shortly after they debuted for the company. However, almost three months after he first showed up at All Out, Danielson still isn't sporting a shirt of his own. That's no accident. It's a request by Danielson who doesn't want his AEW run to be all about selling stuff.

“One of the things that has confused their merchandising people and also confused the WWE merchandising people is that I don’t wanna sell people things," Danielson explained during an appearance on Casual Conversations. AEW even designed an American Dragon t-shirt for him, but he continues to just wear plain white t-shirts on TV whenever he makes non-wrestling appearances on Dynamite and Rampage.

The Steve Jobs Of AEW

As well as not wanting to sell anything, Danielson also said it makes his life easier. He doesn't have to think about what he needs to wear to TV as it's always a white t-shirt and joggers. “I don’t wanna waste my time thinking about what I’m going to wear,” Danielson said, likening himself to Steve Jobs who would always wear a black turtleneck when making public appearances.

This all lends itself to the environmentally-conscious attitude Danielson has in all walks of life, of course. Encouraging people to buy stuff that ultimately ends up in landfills or is damaging to the Earth in other ways. As Danielson shows more and more heel tendencies in AEW, perhaps we will see him incorporate that into his on-screen character once again like he did when he was The Planet's Champion in WWE.
