Last week at WWE's annual Money in the Bank event, Liv Morgan both captured the women's briefcase and successfully cashed in on Smackdown Women's Champion Ronda Rousey. This marked Liv's first title win in the WWE.

However, not everyone is pleased with Liv's title reign so far. On his podcast, Busted Open Radio, former WWE star Bully Ray criticized Liv Morgan, saying he thinks she is "someone who's playing a pro wrestler." The following transcription has been provided by Wrestle Talk:

“I didn’t think it was a strong promo from her. But I will say this, the people were behind her, at first, but then it started to trail off a bit. I believe she was trying to memorise a promo last night – they’re never going to hand Liv Morgan a microphone and say, ‘Here’s five minutes, go say whatever the hell you want to say.’ Unfortunately, when I hear Liv talk last night, I feel like I’m watching somebody who’s playing a pro wrestler as opposed to being a pro wrestler.”

He goes on to criticize Liv's presentation as a babyface.

“This whole, ‘We did it guys, if it wasn’t for you guys, you guys got me all the way through,’ it’s uber babyface, chase-the-hug stuff and I understand why they do it. But, I want to see Liv come out there and stand on her own two feet – verbally and physically.”

A babyface's job is to win the support of the audience. Liv Morgan has not only done that, but has captured thousands of fans' hearts. She did so by following the traditional, clean babyface route. Is she a perfect performer? No, but no one in the world is. It's hard to take Bully's criticism as anything more than an out-of-touch grasp at straws, especially when one sees how beloved Liv Morgan is by the WWE universe.
