Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax appeared to almost come to blows in the ring on Raw this week, but apparently, all was well between the two backstage.

Wrestling might be staged, but there are occasions when what happens between the ropes can get very real. Whether it be via a freak injury or a near miss that makes one opponent angry at the other. The latter appears to be the reason for Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax going in a little harder than they intended in their match on Raw this week.

Flair And Jax Shoot On Raw

While it's still unknown where exactly the disagreement between the two began, it seems to have started with a mistimed move by Jax. Flair got up from the move visibly angry and from that point on the animosity between the two of them seemed a little too real. Fans picked up on that and the match has been discussed at length on social media since it happened.

As for what happened after the fact, PWInsider has shed a little light on that. After hearing from sources backstage, the site has confirmed the match was indeed what it seemed. That a botched spot resulted in tempers running high. However, cooler heads prevailed by the end of the match and the finish was indeed the one that had been planned ahead of time, that being a Jax win.

All Was Well Backstage

Those cooler heads surprisingly remained in place when Flair and Jax got backstage. According to those same sources, there were no further clashes after the match, and whatever issues the Superstars had with each other were dealt with in the confines of the match. That might come as a surprise to some, but when you're working with people you see at least once a week, it's almost a necessity if you want to avoid an awkward environment going forward.

Jax has been accused of being reckless in the ring in the past, hurting and almost hurting her opponents on a number of occasions. The most infamous example being when she turned around too fast and hit Becky Lynch in the face with her forearm, busting her nose and giving The Man a concussion. It never seems as if Jax hurts her opponents intentionally, though.
