Charlotte Flair is reportedly unhappy with the way she lost to Bianca Belair on Raw this week and is said to have been willing to lose the Raw Women’s title to the latter, who she’s a big fan of.

Flair has been the subject of controversy since Friday night’s SmackDown, having gotten involved in a real-life backstage confrontation with Becky Lynch following their title switch. Flair had attempted to pull the SmackDown belt from Lynch and dropped the Raw title just so Becky wouldn’t get to have both belts in her possession for a few seconds, which was the plan, according to talkSPORT.

“Sources tell talkSPORT that Flair was meant to be trying to play ‘cat and mouse’ with the title and Lynch was meant to get her hand on it before she pulled it back,” the publication reported.

“The timing error between the pair led to the title dropping to the floor, but whatever the reason, obviously the title wasn’t meant go to ground.”

The two stars are reported to have gotten into an altercation backstage over the incident. Sonya Deville, who was supposed to facilitate the exchange, was understood to be displeased as everyone knew Sasha Banks would walk out.

Charlotte and Becky’s issues stem from a few years ago, with Flair taking offense to being referred to as “plastic” by The Man. It’s been reported that they were both unhappy with the exchange and there was debate over it throughout Friday.

The aforementioned source also reports Flair pushed to lose the Raw Women’s Title to Belair on the most recent episode of Raw as she is a big fan of the younger star and thought it would have been a major win for her.

PWInsider claims Flair was asked to leave the building before Becky’s dark match to avoid further trouble.
