The wrestlers to have long or successful careers will often wind up in multiple factions. Names like Triple H, Ric Flair and Roman Reigns have thrived in different groups rather than just one. However, there have been the odd instances of wrestlers who end up working in just one faction throughout their career.RELATED: 10 Short-Lived Wrestling Factions You Completely Forgot AboutChris Jericho revealing that the Inner Circle was his first faction made fans have to think back to truly process it. Other wrestlers have witnessed the same scenario of only ending up in one group by chance. The stories range from the timing preventing other stables to the wrestler’s character not needing a group. Each of the following wrestlers have defied the odds by being in just one faction.

8 Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho AEW Champion

The biggest instance of a wrestler not having a faction until late in their career is Chris Jericho. Fans are always surprised to learn that Jericho never took part in a faction throughout his long WWE career or even his WCW stint when everyone joined groups.

Jericho even admitted that he was against starting the Inner Circle when Tony Khan pitched him having a faction. Khan talking Jericho into it turned out to be a huge success as the Inner Circle was arguably AEW’s first hot act when debuting on television.

7 Dustin Rhodes

Dustin Rhodes AEW

The long career of Dustin Rhodes shares a similar story to Chris Jericho when coming to AEW. Dustin spent time working for just about every major company with noteworthy stints in WCW, WWE, TNA and now AEW.

Each chapter of his career featured various tag partners, but Dustin never had an official faction until recent years. Cody Rhodes forming the Nightmare Family saw his brother Dustin as one of the first members. Dustin has worked closely with fellow members Cody, Brandi, Lee Johnson, Arn Anderson and former member QT Marshall.

6 Yokozuna

Yokozuna as the WWE champion

WWE pushed Yokozuna as one of the most effective dominant monster heels when winning the WWE Championship. Yokozuna was a great character and had some outside help with the legendary Mr. Fuji as his manager.

The career of Yokozuna went by faster than most due to his conditioning and weight gain. However, he joined one faction when becoming part of Camp Cornette with Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith. Jim Cornette managing Yokozuna made him a valued member, but he never worked in another faction.

5 Jon Moxley

The recent success of Jon Moxley in AEW sees him as a lone wolf character, outside the occasional tag match with Eddie Kingston. Moxley’s time in WWE will always be remembered for the immense success achieved by The Shield.

All three members of Moxley aka Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins became stars working together. Moxley has never joined another faction like his former stablemates. AEW having so many groups could see that change, but he’s yet to join his second group.

4 Trish Stratus

Trish Stratus Debut

Few women in WWE accomplished as much as Trish Stratus throughout her Hall of Fame career. Stratus was more of a character than an in-ring performer at first, but she evolved into one of the most captivating performers in the company.

The first angle for Trish saw her leading the trio faction of T&A managing Test and Albert. Stratus instantly got over as a heel manager and moved into bigger roles. The rest of Trish’s WWE stint featured her as a singles wrestler or managing individual performers as she never joined another faction.

3 Rikishi

Rikishi

WWE struggled to find the right role for Rikishi throughout the ‘90s with multiple failed gimmicks. Rikishi had talent, but the company didn’t know how to spotlight his talent until he joined a faction with cruiserweights Brian Christopher and Scotty 2 Hotty.

The Too Cool trio became one of the most over face acts in WWE as fans loved the dancing gimmick. Rikishi’s outstanding dance routines and fun overall presence made him one of the most over faces. Too Cool was the only time Rikishi officially joined a wrestling faction, and it worked to perfection.

2 Batista

Batista WWE

WWE got Batista over by having him join a faction shortly into his main roster debut. Batista was the fourth and final member of Evolution aligning with Triple H, Ric Flair and Randy Orton. All four members had outstanding chemistry to help each other thrive as a unit.

The other three members would have other factions in their past or future, but Batista somehow avoided that. WWE pushed Batista as a main eventer for the rest of his career to great success. Batista had a few tag team partners or on-screen acquaintances, but he never joined another faction in WWE.

1 Kofi Kingston

Kofi Kingston WWE Champion

Kofi Kingston spent his WWE career working with many tag team partners like R-Truth, Matt Sydal and CM Punk. However, he never joined an actual faction until he formed the New Day with Xavier Woods and Big E.

WWE was initially against Kingston leaving his singles role to unite with two unproven prospects at the time. New Day eventually became one of the biggest recent success stories for WWE and a massive success. Kofi thrived in the group winning the WWE Championship for the first time. The group is still active with Kingston never joining a different faction.
