Some information is coming to light with respect to what went down during the CM Punk altercation with The Elite after All Out. A situation that led to Punk and other members of the AEW roster being suspended has now led to a full investigation of what occurred and rumors that the company might be looking to buy out the remainder of Punk's contract. As per a report, Punk apparently lost his cool when his dog was injured during the altercation.

WrestlingInc. is reporting that new information has surfaced after reaching out to Punk's reps following news that The Elite's return to AEW programming might be imminent. They write, "We've been told that AEW has not reached out to Punk since the incident following the All Out media scrum, in which Punk and his friend and trainer, Ace Steel, reportedly got into a backstage brawl with AEW EVPs Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks." They add, "Sources indicate that after the brawl, Punk was asked to stay quiet, and agreed to do so."

They go on to say that the reason Punk was so upset was that when his locker room door was "kicked in", it accidentally hit Punk's dog, Larry, in the face. They add, "At a pre-scheduled veterinarian appointment a few days later, Punk was informed that two of Larry's teeth had been knocked loose and had to be removed." Understandably, Punk wouldn't have appreciated an injury to his dog, who was on-site with him that evening and made an appearance earlier that day.

Does The Narrative Change Now?

A number of fans were holding Punk responsible for everything that went down that night, suggesting his comments at the media scrum were way out of line. While that might still be true, does it change things now that details reveal The Young Bucks were allegedly careless with their frustrations for Punk and hurt an innocent animal in the process? Wrestling Inc. has been told that Punk felt threatened and reacted in a legal way under Illinois' Castle Doctrine laws, which allow for the use of force in defense of a person in their dwelling.

Clearly, a number of fans would understand and sympathize with Punk's reaction.
