CM Punk is no stranger to controversy as his gift for gab and candid demeanor are a big part of what have made him such a major star in professional wrestling. The waters grew murkier coming out of AEW Dynamite this past week, after a reportedly impromptu confrontation with Hangman Page that was apparently rooted in Punk's falling out with Colt Cabana years back and the Dark Order member almost getting cut from the company roster. Louis Dangoor from GiveMeSport tweeted about rumors Punk had refused to put over Page at Double or Nothing, and questioned Punk’s commitment to helping younger talents. MMA fighter Mike Jackson had something to say.

Mike Jackson responded to Louis Dangoor’s tweet by saying, “If someone needs me, let me know.” The words were accompanied by a still image of him pummeling a bloodied CM Punk in their UFC fight.

Jackson dominated their 2018 MMA encounter, Punk’s second and final fight before officially retiring from the sport to return to pro wrestling. It is worth noting that the fight has an asterisk attached to it, though, as UFC retroactively disqualified Jackson for testing positive for marijuana. Nonetheless, it remains clear he beat up Punk in the Octagon.

There remain significant questions about CM Punk’s status among his AEW colleagues, with some reports suggesting that there was even concern he might quit the company.
