Former AEW star and EVP Cody Rhodes has apparently made a bit of a change to his appearance ahead of a potential move back to WWE.

We will have to firstly apologize for not actually being able to show you the change. You see, Cody didn’t show off his new look, all he’s done is talk about it. So that’s really all we have to go on.

Anyhow, The American Nightmare took to Instagram to reveal having grown an “amazing goatee” that he thought gave off a Robert Downey Jr. vibe. His wife Brandi does not agree with his assessment, however.

Hopefully, we get to see the thing soon…

For now, all we have is this screenshot from his Instagram story:

WWE Return A Done Deal?

As it pertains to Cody’s future, it’s believed he will return to WWE. Vince McMahon is said to be excited over the prospect and is prepared to give the former WWE Intercontinental Champion an immediate and significant push.

SmackDown commentator Pat McAfee has all but confirmed the return.

“I guess Cody Rhodes is coming to WWE," he said on his Pat McAfee Show recently. "I guess, who cares? Him and his little friends started something; it was terrible. We actually went head-to-head with them on Wednesdays. We beat them a couple of different times. Who cares? The hell with Cody Rhodes.”

McAfee would let folks know he was joking before going on to praise Rhodes.

“I'm actually pretty pumped if Cody's coming back," he continued. "He's obviously a massive name in sports entertainment. If he’s coming to SmackDown, I’m excited about it.”

The Miz WWE Cropped

WWE seemingly teased Cody’s return to the brand during Raw this week, with The Miz making claims of his mystery partner being “dashing,” a possible reference to the “Dashing Cody Rhodes Gimmick” from back in the day.
